Shisui was waaassted in this filler dude. He could've trained or even talked to Sasuke, but nah I guess. I think they technically trained together, but it was basically just a glorifed cameo to the point they actually did it.

Such a letdown of an arc, filler or not. They had such a huge potential with what to do in having Itachi, Shisui, Minato and even Kushina still alive. But naahhh they just shove them all aside and basically rush through to redo so much of the whole series with slight changes in when what happens where. The rushed single episode pain arc would be flat out laughable if it didn't feel like such a slap in the face to how good the actual pain arc is/was. I do kinda' like the gimmick in how they changed Sasuke and Naruto's loneliness into the expectations that they felt they had to measure up to, but other than that, it could've been 10 times better. In a situation without Obito, it's possible that Kushina almost died during child birth due to her status as a jinchuriki, and they had to split the Kurama's chakra in order to save her. Naruto being the only other Uzumaki around... meant the other half had to go to him. Or maybe he has all of it in this version. Without Obito, the other leaf ninja would be able to help and they could avert using the reaper death seal.
I believe in this timeline, Black Zetsu doesn't exist. So either Obito and Rin are alive due to some different outcome of the mission they were on, or Rin is the only one who survives. If Obito and Rin survive their fates, Obito doesn't attack the village. Maybe at some point, Minato decides to take half of nine tails out of Kushina to allow him to master it and help the village. Since Minato doesn't die, the Uchiha doesn't because of Danzo. Also they probably would have shown Adult Obito and Rin if only this filler wasn't during the war arc.
This just shows that even in a what-if reality where Sasuke's clan is still alive, his brother is kind to him, and he gets personally trained by Shisui, he would still be a little piece of edgelord emo sh!t. It was never about his boo hoo situation, his personality was just trash. 😂
