Elegant solution! Having played OG so many years ago, I'm now happy to use the new Fixed Worker Percentage toggle and never worry about this again, lol
Its honestly crazy how working age demographics are relevant in this game, and also relevant in many countries. Japan might need to do that water trick reset soon 🤔
They tried that with sendai. Didn't work =(. But yeah if your city goes with out frequent influxs of new people it will stagnate. It's not an issue if you don't have a stable housing setup, but if that's the case, you have a whole different set of problems!
git reset --hard :D It's worth mentioning that in New Era you can actually switch off age simulation and just have fixed 40% of your population as workers all the time.
Awesome glad to hear it! Relaxed or hard core, play how you want mate. If you just want to enjoy maybe check out the fixed worker ratio setting. Basically, a percentage of your population will always work. It pretty much removes the whole aging thing.
parece que te gusto la imagen que edite con photoshop para hacer mi avatar en discord 😃😂 y lo estas usando de avatar en youtube, pues nada me alegro de que te guste ❤️
Honestly this looks like something that could be fixed by devs... older people can and do work in real life in administration, as traders, watching warehouses, leadership positions, priests, doctors etc.
having a roadblock between industrial area and housing block that my buildings get workers I created the same city you've made in your videos in the missoin BEHDET copied it to the letter and mine doesn't have workers in the buildings it keeps telling me no workers live nearby
Thanks, great question. Depends how fast you need to devolve. Houses. If you want to take the long route you could just stop selling food manually by the bazaars. That would ultimately be the cheapest. But if you need a fast refresh just destroying the water is faster.
Thats a genius way of dealing with the ageing demographic! I just build more and more housing blocks on that mission and ended up with almost 10k pop just to see that pyramid being finished lmao.
I think at the end it'll be closer to 20% of total population working which in your case would be 2k workers in 10k city! While at start of the mission you'd require 4.5k to archive the same number of workers
God, now I feel like Apple or Amazon. (shudder) hey thanks for your hard work but we got a pyramid to build! Better luck in your next city! And uhhh try not to die in the desert on the way there.
I understand its how the game is designed but its kinda a cheat, i mean you are supposted to build and support more houses to keep your work force. In real life you cant just replace entire city with younger people ready to work 😂
Kick out all elder out of the house. I am not doing that, but it is a good solution though. But I think it is only a temporary solution, the citizen will be old soon. Doing this again and again is not a pleasure thing to do for me.
The game has a set median for new immigrants, so it's equivilant to building an entire new houseing area. So it's not just the old. It's impossible to have a stable population without constant immigration in this game. I guess that's to set a countdown timer or some such that you took to long.
@@7Wolf77 I thought the problem here is the medical care level. Our people live too long (my record is 90 when I check) compared to Pharaoh's era. I think those Community building has global effects. It compare building number to population instead of its influence on the surroundings. You can relate to the School and the Library one. Or entertainment building. But I don't know the med building share the same mechanic or not. So when you build full med building for an area, they just increase all other area age cap.

Awesome, I love how we have more options to play how you want to.
"You'll have nothing and will be happy!" I love that trick, thanks for sharing bro!
Always!

That's true. It's up to you if you want to use that mechanic or not. I know some people struggle with these long pyramid missions.
Be careful switching it on mid mission because you'll end up with huge unemployment
I'm currently in Cleopatra but I was looking for a way to manage missing workers efficently. Thanks man! 😃👍
Glad I could help!
An elegant solution indeed
Thanks Wolf. i’m a very relaxed player and i could get to 4k population but this worked.

Thanks! I have this problem in one of the missions. Now I know how to fix it.

True. It's basically just brought over from the original.
having a roadblock between industrial area and housing block that my buildings get workers
I created the same city you've made in your videos in the missoin BEHDET
copied it to the letter
and mine doesn't have workers in the buildings
it keeps telling me no workers live nearby
If you are not using global labor pool you need to have at lest 2 houses nearby.
Genius much better than my delete each house method
Thanks for watching!
very good advice!!! thank you
Thanks! Glad I could help.
Wow, you are clever! Would of never thought of that. Hey, is it cheaper to resupply the food or the goods?

This mission was crazy holy moly
I know right!

I know right. And eventually you just can't produce enough food.

Time to move, grandma!
Grandma got run over by a ostrich on the way to Dashur.
You have given a good retirement to your citizens over 50, they go to another city happy xd

"promosm" 😕
Huh? What you mean? What's that?
So I dug on Google and it's an ad site to get views? Yeah I don't do that.
