Wow!! A 3.82ct Kashmir ruby! Spectacular! I've been a gemologist & jewelry designer in nyc for over 25 years. I've seen incredibly rare gems. This is impressive!!
I often wear my great-grandmother's ring, a 5 carat Kashmir ruby in a setting with Kimberly diamonds, very similar to this. The colour is truly beautiful.
@@Jackaroo. I also walk around with several 'houses' in the jewels that my own Grandmother bequeathed to me. But I've never counted the carats, or their worth - I count the blessings that my Grandmother gave to me, and not just in her beautiful jewels... I usually tell people they're just fakes - so I get to keep them! She helped my parents to raise me right, and I was so fortunate to have been so close to her .. She was such an intelligent and great lady.. I admired her very much - and she always encouraged me to follow my dreams with a passion. I have so much to be grateful for because of her ❤
I have a kashmir and emerald gold ring with accent diamonds. Paid 20 bucks for it in a yard sale a couple years back. Turns out that it is worth 780k. Best 20 bucks I've ever spent. Life is sweet!
I've found some really nice Corundum on my property. I can hardly find any pictures of raw Corundum that is as beautiful. I'll try to post a video of them in the sunlight when I can.
@@Kryuhunhaput eww ??? You don't know that we have Kashmir, Pakistan occupied some part of it. Kashmir is very much part of India. It is like calling Texas is a country not a part of USA

Gorgeous. People tend to not understand why rubies don't get large (like you mentioned 90% under 1 carat). It's due to the minerals that make a ruby. They are beautiful stones.
I'm from New Orleans and this place is phenomenal I have visited so many times I just love this store every time you go you see something different and it's amazing old ancient historical pieces
Oh wow that's beautiful. There is nothing else like the depth of color in this gem. Truly a beauty of the Earth refined by a master crafter's hands and eyes.
That’s known as a pigeon blood ruby. Sapphire and Ruby are both the same base crystal corundum, different additional minerals give the color variations. Corundum can actually be found in a huge variety of colors with various names
and nothing wrong with that. The question will be will it be more valuable than a pigeon blood red ruby from somewhere else? I bet not but for sure that ruby is more valuable than purplish red rubies from other sources.
@@crossbowskiss don't be an ignoramus. A purplish red corundum is a ruby coz the dominant color is red! Reddish purple is sapphire coz the dominant color is purple! Stop lecturing people about things you have no knowledge of.
TBH to me it is right on the line of being purple sapphire and NOT red enough to be considered ruby... STILL an exceptional stone, but many will argue for lifetimes over the color of this stone, and thus, it's classification as ruby or sapphire ^_^

What a fabulous treasure you've been bequeathed. Also, my condolences.

What’s the first Ruby which is my birthstone I’ve ever really wanted
Nice
The mines closed TECHNICALLY but the locals still mine the mines everyday, so they are still producing plenty of these rubies
Yes but not on the qualities as before, this mine is in batakundi paksitan, and near to it is the basil mines which are producing a good amount
Gasp!!!❤
❤
I'd like it for my crystal collection
I bet that thing ranges from 3 to 5 million dollars were I to estimate off my head. But also being a kashmir it could go for 20 mil i dont know that market enough...
❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
I wonder why they closed the mines.
Beautiful stone... how do we know it's a "cashmere ruby"?... cause you say so? Curious
It is certified by the Gemological Institute of America as originating in Kashmir.
