Really saddened to hear you felt so discouraged about the comments on music. I loved your videos. Going through a really horrible time (May lose my sight and therefore my job). Your videos are one of a few blessings that are keeping me going, please don't be discouraged. God is certainly using you in my life and I'm sure others too.

There is always going to be at least one person that has something to complain about no matter what you do in your videos so don't sweat it! It is your life and you obviously have many viewers that enjoy them so I wouldn't waste my time even thinking about the rude comments

Please don't EVER apologize for other's ignorant questions. You have so much on your plate - so much more than most of us can even imagine. I'm a new follower and I ADORE your family!!! Andrea thanks for taking so much time editing, filming etc. for us, I do not know how you do it. I have heard that music before too but now it goes so well for your happy family and hope you do not change it, it is so perfect, I was drawn to your family for being just like you are, I do not know why so many people put so much emphasis on clothes, I do not even like other channels who waste their time on clothing, your children are so beautiful and I think it is amazing how you thought of it, even for a small family it's a great idea, beauty comes from within, please do not get discouraged over comments , your family is unique and is all about the love you share. Your music is fine! It is almost a branding for your vlogs. When Ii watch another RUclipsr's videos and they are playing that music I think, "that's Andrea's music", lol. I don't know why people feel the need to complain so much when they are getting free entertainment and a peek into someone else's life. Thanks for sharing with us!
Lovely video. If people don't like the music they can always mute the sound. Sometimes you can't do right for doing wrong. Carry on being you, you're doing just fine.

I find your videos very comforting and I am so happy when I see a new video from you in my subscription box! I like your music, the way you use it and just assumed you used the same music because you are a very routine oriented person. When I hear others use it, I just associate it with you and your family and find it weird that they are using your music! You aren't obligated to explain everything with us, share what you're comfortable sharing. As my Nana said: Your obligations are to your parents, your family, your spouse, your children and most importantly, to God. Thank you and your family for taking us along on your trip! It brings me so much joy to have something my daughter & I can enjoy watching together!
I enjoyed all of the videos including the music. I think you have a really good theme going. I can play your videos and know right away by hearing, what kind of video it is ditl or topical. Don't get discouraged, there's nothing wrong with your videos. Some people are over critical and rude. What movie editor are you using?
I use Corel VideoStudio. I started out using Movie Maker that was part of the Microsoft package (at least I think it is), but eventually Tom thought I better learn something that had more features. It took me a bit to get used to it, but I mostly have the hang of it now.
I enjoyed all of your vacation videos. That is so sweet of you to stay up and edit the videos even though you are on vacation. I agree with others about the music.I love it and when I hear it I think YAY Its Andrea Mills! You guys looked like you had such a fun time. But I think I would be like Asher ready to be home. Thanks for all of the videos and Congratulations again on your channel growing even more. You rock!

I usually watch your videos while having my morning coffee and then, later on, I would sometimes catch myself humming the music :D Personally, I think it's a feel good tune that fits the message of your videos quite well. Also regarding the music, I find it weird to complain about something like that, as music is very much up to everyone's individual taste. It's maybe not a song I would play on repeat for myself, but as it's always the same for your videos (I think?) I started to associate it with your family and it's just the "Mills music" for me, haha!

Hi Andrea - just want to introduce myself - Jenn. I've loved your videos - you're so open and sincere. Your "home birth gone wrong" video had me sobbing for your heartbreak. Glad all that has worked out. My FAVORITE thing in your videos is seeing your children's personalities developing & showing through. Truly wonderful. I'm so glad you take the time to share these videos with us. I gave a podcast too (mostly knit & crochet: Gojenn videocast) - I KNOW how long it takes for the editing & uploading! You restore my faith in America, because I just hope there are more like you & my older daughter teaching values and life skills to the next generation.

I actually like the music you play. And some of my kids walk around singing the songs from your videos. They love watching with me. And it's so funny because every time we watch, during the beginning intro, they all go " awwwwwwww!!!" everytime they see Sophia and Claudia, lol! The music is cheerful and appropriate. We like it!
I graduated from this town 6 years ago and tom actually fixed my computer pry about 5 years ago! I just found you and it makes me happy to see my hometown!
I liked the music, I think it suited the clips. And as someone who lives in a coastal town where a lot of the parks are right on the beach, my toddler has played in the water more times in his clothes than his swimsuit. Sometimes it's just easier to let him wade and paddle in the water in his clothes than deal with the drama of getting changed. I hate wearing a swimsuit too!
Arriving back home safe and sound after a trip is a very particular wonderful feeling.

You have spent so much time working at this,you have become a professional and your right in scenes where it's windy or noisy had you not put the music in I think people would complain about that.. so I trust your professional opinion. lol... I'm loving your videos and I'm learning so much.. I'm chronically I'll myself and my 4 children are teenagers and I feel like I have wasted so much time.. Oh my goodness! I've not commented before but feel compelled now about this music thing. I honestly dislike that piece of music because I follow many You Tube channels and it seems like this particular piece is the first on the royalty-free list and everyone uses it. Now, that being written, here's what I do as soon as I hear it- I move my mouse over to the volume and click it to mute. Easy peasy and why in the world complain about it?! People! If it bothers them that much and mute doesn't work, then click off the video. lol really? how difficult is it?!
Anyhow, I enjoy your videos. Your children are adorable and have brought more than a few smiles to my face and heart so I'm not going anywhere based on some piece of music I don't care for. :-)

That's one thing I was surprised about when I started doing RUclips. Shooting a video is one thing, but editing is where all the real effort and time comes in!

I LOVE the music! It's happy! Question, how much do you pay your children? Do they get bonuses for extra hard work? Or how do you deal with slackers who might take twice as long as necessary to do a job.
I have a work evaluation form that I do with them about once every 3 months where we rate their attitude, thoroughness, helpfulness, etc. Based on their score, they earn anywhere from 1-5 cents per minute. That means my less capable workers are earning 60 cents an hour and my great workers earn $3.00 an hour.

My question is about the money your children make. I know you've talked about it before 😀 I'm curious if there are rules on what they buy? do they buy special treats that you don't buy (like soda, chips, candy, snacks)? what do you do for the littles? do they get paid differently? do you buy for them? I love your system and would like to add it to our family. I've told my older boys about it and they want us to do it.
No, I don't really have any purchasing rules; sometimes we talk decisions over with them, but ultimately we let them decide how to use their money. The bulk of it does go to treats. probably! They also buy their own video games, toys, etc. They also buy stuff for each other and for Tom and I. It's really sweet when the come home with a special treat they bought for Daddy. I give the little ones $1.25 when we go shopping. They use the quarter to get a gumball and then buy something with their dollar. Even though they didn't earn it, I want to start teaching them there are limits to what they can buy. They never ask for stuff when we go shopping because as soon as they are old enough to want something we start doing this. Begging for stuff doesn't even enter their minds. I don't do any sewing for others, other than when I make something as a gift. If I had more time it might be something I'd consider, but I always have a backlog of my own sewing that needs done! :)

They just bought the things at the Dollar Tree and they had the stuffed animals that Papa bought them. They also brought home a few sea shells. We're not big on souvenirs, but I told them they were free to buy what they like they just might have to hold it the whole way home. :)

Our boys are Thomas (14), Asher (12), Judah (11), Justus (9) and Solomon (4). Our girls are Eden (6), Sophia (2) and Claudia (1).

I don't think the music is annoying
loved all the vacation videos. I had a couple of questions - do you cut ur children's hair or take them somewhere? how about your hair? n did u not take pjs?
The girls and I had pajamas, but I didn't pack any for Tom and the boys. They don't really like to wear them. Yes, I cut all of our hair. I learned on Thomas (my oldest) and eventually felt brave enough to cut Tom's hair. I trim my own on occasion. It's been a long time since I had it cut anywhere else.
I'm confused why do you make your kids wear a certain color it doesn't make sense and there is no reason
She does/did scrapbooking so it made it better when they all matched.
She has a whole video about this. Suffice it to say- it's a habit, not a dogma and she doesn't care if her kids decide to wear something else.
