bro, that was my reaction on christmas morning. lol. jumping for joy over getting grayskull and all the carded he-man figures that were set out around it under the tree. oh to be in that time again as an adult me watching my child self opening it all and having fun. those were the good times.
Ah yes. May of '86. I would have been finishing up 5th grade and ending elementary school days. Deep into The Centurions and M.A.S.K. Such a great video to have of an amazing playset and gift.
The good old days, when we weren't afraid to rip open the packaging of our new toys, when we actually played with our toys and when we had a wonderful, carefree time, with our Family.
1986 also was the year when I bought mine. It was on sale at a wholesaler. 30 Deutsch Marks instead of the suggested retail price of 90. A playset, which aged well, and has never gotten out of style. Thanks for the flashback!
I've got a few photos of the Christmas Morning where I got my Greyskull. Just happy to have those images still! It's great that you have a video record of your Greyskull unboxing! Super 80's all around there!
It's a treasure to have the memories and to have at least the photos to go with it. A wonderful Christmas gift you got that year. Thanks for watching 👍
This is great; I love the enthusiasm of going straight through the box, none of this taking time to admire it and nod like we do today as adults :) The immediate obsession with the toy and nothing else going on in the world; I love it.
So cool to have video footage of your childhood. It was such an amazing time when we could experience moments like this for the first time. Your excitement said it all when you opened the wrapping paper.
Well Jesus!!!! Best thing I’ve watched in a long time Chris!! I actually got a little emotional seeing this, amazing quality of the footage to say it’s almost 40 years old, what an amazing watch, I was silent for a full five minutes lol (that never happens lol) and rocking that Jonny Mac headband and Adidas pumps , absolutely loved watching this 🙏
@ReynoldsReviews Cheers mate for such a wonderful comment🙏😊 Planning to reupload more of the old vhs home videos for this series. So there is more to come. Much more
Very cool. When my mother wanted to get me this, they were no longer on shelves and I had to make do with Snake Mountain (and later the Fright Zone), but I loved it. Despite having a pretty extensive vintage MotU collection and keeping it in good shape, I didn’t get my first Castle Grayskull until a year ago.
Fantastic 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cheers 🙏
Wow back in the 80s❤❤❤❤😊
Time travelling. 😁👍 and more to follow.

True, Kieron, but a part of us is kicking ourselves now that the boxes got away probably lol
I remember hanging on to thar box for a long time after this day. But at some point it had to go later that year.
Ahh the good old days what a lovely memory to share thank you 👍🏼
