Making a metal sign on #12 gauge steel by Lightobject 3000W fiber laser machine

  • A local customer needs a metal sign cut on #12 gauge (2.88mm).steel. The sign was about 6ft x 4ft, and the design was from SOLIDWORKS. Conversion of the file type to DXF format was necessary for cutting. Well, the first conversation was terrible, and there left tons of "notches" on the drawing that caused a rough cut from a sample cut. So, I had to get the original design in “EPS format” from the customer and made the conversion myself using CorelDraw.It ran much better from the new file. When the customer came to pick it up, he was stunned by the cutting details and the smoothness of the machine could cut.
