I purchase the Cheers drink package and also order a 12 pack of water delivered to my room. My favorite drinks are Miami Vice, Kiss on the Lips, Pina Colada and my Mimosas.
@@TheJennDanielle I tend to get thirsty in the middle of the night, and the last thing I don't want to do is looking for a bottle of water in the middle of the night with my PJ's on. I always order a 12 pack, and I always give 6 bottles of water to both of my son's to to take back to their cabin, and I also travel with my own water bottle as well.
It all depends on the individual. If you know you’re not a real drinker; in my opinion it’s a waste of money. If you love to drink and enjoy yourself then get it. It will definitely save you money because those drinks add up over time. Also; I would like to add that the drink package covers more than just alcohol. If you are one of those people who love energy drinks and specialty coffees and shakes; it covers that as well.
I drink A LOT. I’m diamond and get free drinks in the casino on Royal and for me I still feel the drink package is worth it. I get a water bottle with every other drink and I stock up Red Bulls for the room. I probably have at least 15 per day without trying. But that’s me and I get that it’s not for everyone
Norwegian have an all inclusive and premium drinks are included gratuity is added in and food i paid for my cruise and with travel insurance it was 600 bucks with window cabin for 3 days out of miami but it was a last minute cruise deal we booked 3 months before the cruise

Royal Caribbean does have a very expensive drink package. And if you are sailing with another person it’s ultra expensive. I’ve gotten it once and just like you I drank way more than I normally would. And also felt myself getting drinks just because I had the drink package and also I wanted to get my moneys worth.I never got it again. But now that I’ve got status, diamond plus, I get five free drinks a day, which is plenty for me now.

Carnival Kiss 💋 on the Lips my fav drink so far Not a drinker but i like to drink socially and forcing myself to drink everyday was a struggle. I bought the drink package 2x on SEVEN day cruises (almost $800 each cruise)and i figured if i at least had 5-6 drinks per day that would b the cost of the package. Well i struggled with that, so I WISH there was a premium package for the social drinker that was half the price with half the "unlimted" (cough, couch 15) drinks bc the premium package allows for all drinks whereas the soda package does not include shakes, specialty coffee(?),... those tend to add up quickly if u dont have a package. So after those 2x and trying to force myself giving up like the 4th day, a full drink package is not worth it to me. I really havent done short cruises so i cant speak to those only 7 or higher day cruises.
I wish this was an option too. I can’t justify the spend. I ended up trying a ton of non alcoholic beverages / mocktails to even it out and they weren’t too bad.
I will not be purchasing the drink package for my Thanksgiving cruise on the Carnival Venezia its almost 1000 dollars and i dont drink that much maybe 2 a day but i might try it on my next cruise next year in november

I use to like getting Carnival's $50 Cruise or Bar Cash (basically a nonrefundable pre-deposited money) because I don't drink like that. But it is , so I just get a Carnival e- girt card now. FYI: I think Virgin Voyages copied their bar tab from Carnival's bar cash 😮😂
I don’t purchase the drink package I will put about 1K down on the account and whatever I don’t drink I get back. However, once you purchased the drink package it is their money, even if you do not utilize the package to its fullest!!
@TheJennDanielle When I was on Royal Caribbean I saw someone with it and was trying to describe it to the bartender. They made me a MasterCard which was peaches and strawberry, I knew it was yellow and red. Once I said it's frozen they said Floating Lava. Looks like they are calling it Lava Flow now. It is made of "Malibu coconut rum, cream of coconut, light (white) rum, frozen strawberries, pineapple juice, a fresh pineapple (optional for garnish), and some ice."

Dark and Stormy..... Ginger beer and spiced rum.... Its always good and the bartender does not matter as much as other drinks.
