    I live in Portland Oregon. I was hoping for more useful information. For those of us who actually live here , frequent the coast, and live around the PNW ring of fire, can you provide us with more specific information and resources. Advance warning is great, but it’s too general to aid with advance preparation and planning for this eventuality. Thank you.

    • @DobsonianPower
      @DobsonianPower  2 дня назад +8

      The additional info is all the acientific study and method they developed that is public. It's boring and will not add value to what you need which is to be warned to evacuate. If you want to dig on it you can start here, the peer paper: agu.confex.com/agu/agu24/meetingapp.cgi/Paper/1560361

      thanks, right,.. I actually don’t want to dig in to the details though, but I would like to know how to stay connected to the monitoring of the volcano in real time. I’d love to know how it might affect the coastal communities and if it might be related at all to any possible seismic activity at any of the other inland volcanoes ? Thanks

      @mirabellebarim9997 2 дня назад +11

    • @jusstmee
      @jusstmee 2 дня назад +18

      Well the fog is happening in usa, Canada and Europe only. So I don't think so. I think there is a more sinister reason for the fog.

    • @jimig399
      @jimig399 2 дня назад

      @@jusstmeethe fog is happening in every Western country where they celebrate Christmas. Increased commerce for the holidays means more freight. More trains running around the clock at full blast. Which in turn means more diesel exhaust from said trains. I've been telling people about this emergency for years and now people are finally seeing it but don't comprehend what it is so they put a sinister or magical spin on it. It's not fog. It's diesel exhaust. Tons of it. It usually collects in areas near your local railyard. But there is much more commerce than usual right now and the exhaust fumes are not mixing with the air currents and clearing the air as quickly as usual. Notice there is a dark quality to the clouds and a metallic or chemical smell and taste to the air? Because they are not clouds.
      It's diesel exhaust from trains.
      The government is downplaying how the railroad is contaminating the air we breath. Because they can't afford to do anything about it currently. So why make a big deal about something that can't be fixed?
      So they do nothing.
      It will kill you if you try to exercise in this air.
      I fly drones and exercise outdoors everyday.
      That's how I found out about it. Flying over the railyard and noticing the thick fog of diesel exhaust in the air and seeing it with the drone, smelling it in my nose and tasting in my in my mouth.

    • @plzsavethebeez743
      @plzsavethebeez743 2 дня назад +4

      I had considered that too!

    • @jimig399
      @jimig399 2 дня назад

      @@danwear3366
      seriously the strange smelling fog?
      I completely believe in UFOs and the ET's that fly them. I've seen them and have had very close friends recount stories of abduction a few times.
      I didn't believe them 40 years ago when they first told me. But now after everything that's happened...I'm sure they were real stories that really happened. My best friend was a foster kid. He was adopted by a family down the street from me and we became friends. He was talking about large, muscular, bi-pedal, reptilian creatures way back in 1979. No one was talking about reptilian aliens back then. He was drawing pictures of them that were scary and he said they were visiting him several nights a week. He never said what they wanted but he was absolutely terrified of them. He also drew and spoke of the tall, preying mantis type back then.
      These things were not on the radar back then.
      But he drew hundreds of drawings of them. Every time they would visit he said he would draw what had happened to record it. We were both 9 years old.
      I know he didn't pull those creatures out of his imagination.
      Plus I've had many sightings over the years where I live in the desert near the Sea of Cortez in Baja California.
      But the strange smelling fog is not a creation of any aliens.
      It's ours.
      It's diesel exhaust from trains.
      The increased commerce for the holidays has the trains running non-stop. And they give off a lot of diesel exhaust. I've been telling people about this for years.
      I fly drones and exercise outside daily.
      Go find your railyard in the city you live in. Hang out and watch the copious amounts of exhaust that comes from those train engines.
      It hangs in the air and smells awful.
      Every Western country that celebrates Christmas is experiencing the same thing because they all use rail.
      The government has long been downplaying the facts about our air quality in America.
      It's full of diesel exhaust from trains, semi trucks and cargo ships.
      This time of year the air is extremely thick with it. It's not mixing with the upper atmosphere and dispersing like it usually does. Probably because there is so much of it.
      10 years from now the air quality outdoors in many cities in America will be unhealthy for exercise.
      Nobody talks about it.
      We also don't talk about the number of crematoriums in America or the poisonous junk that they release on a daily basis into the air that we breathe.
      No one is even studying the long term effects of exposure to these things.
      Maybe because they know we won't live that long and these trivial things I've mentioned don't matter in the big picture.
      Or maybe I'm just crazy.

    A volcano going off that close to the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which is overdue for reoccurrence, the last one being in the year 1700 with a reoccurrence rate of 300 to 400 years as determined by subsea core samples taken from the fault. If memory serves, Prof. Goldfinger out of U. of O was in on it, is no friggin' joke. This is one of those things, that the chances of it happening have increasing odds as we approach historical repetition, but the consequences of an eruption triggering a Cascadia event are unimaginable. I figure it's a prelude to Arthur Firstenberg's conclusion in his book, Invisible Rainbow, a history of life and electricity, where he concludes our zapping the skies with trillions of watts of energy with haarp technologies and all the other electromagnetic controlling we do, will at some point, short out the planetary electromagnetic life support system,

The time is ripe for us to learn to predict how to predict this events in a more timely manner that this knowledge will help save so many lives. At the border of the Juan de Fuca Plate? If that goes, big trouble in Oregon, Washington and Northern California. If Juan de Fuca goes, good chance of a big slip at the San Andreas. Earthquake plus Tsunami.

    Your just beginning to see the beginning of the end the earth is crying out for Jesus said when you see these things happening the Rapture draws near... Don't get left behind Jesus is the only way to heaven any other way is like a thief in the night.

      Chapter and verse where Jesus mentions a "rapture' please. It was said that he will come like a thief in the night...not 'any other way to heaven is like a thief in the night.'

    I'm curious... I too live here in Oregon, near the coast... My question is .... Why are we all still living here??... We all know the earthquakes and volcanic explosions are emanate.... why don't we move??
    ... I'll go first... I stay because I love it here, the people, the climate and the rugged beauty... I grew up living 3 blocks from the Atlantic Ocean..[and I do miss the ocean] but I could never leave here for long...
    How about you??

    With the activity at triple junction blanco fracture zone in south and axil seamount to the north with hydrate ridge in betweeni have said in a great quake you all overlooked the methane would be displaced and rise to surface . If im wrong fine but if im right you may wanna re think what would happen during a full rupture of the tripple junction

      I think pollution from volcanoes off gassing would smell like Sulphur, a bit like rotten eggs, like at Yellowstone park; it would have been identified.

    All true, but you left out so much info!! ... There are several volcano's along the intersecting fault lines along our coast, with Cascadia being the scariest, however a large enough rupture in ANY of the faults can set Cascadia off... it's called "the ring of fire" for a reason, y'all......

    According to the report, the last eruption was in 2015. The only thing that happened then, was king waves that didn't hurt any towns on the coast and a major disruption of sea life, do you remember when it was hard to get any kind of shellfish?, I do.
    If the next one is like that, And it likely will be. Nothing to worry about. IFF it's worse, those on the coast, needs to make sure they have good emergency bug out supplies & copies of documents with easy access, or in their vehicle. There will be time for them to leave to get to high ground. That's about all anyone can do. There's no sense in worrying about what we can't control.
