Dude. Excellent video and right on point. I will be looking for a tight closing cabinet. Maybe an old refrigerator. Doubt a can find used electrical cabinet. Thank you😊
Thank you sir. I hope you check out the other vids on this and pick up some of the other considerations that I figured out for the build. It's still a great build. Thanks again.
Nothing like having a little Johnny Cash in your head right before trying to talking to camera huh. Thanks bud. Guess next time I need to make sure I can finish before it gets dark. LoL
could be a number of things lack of enough sunlight, not clearly sealing things off for the heat/insulation, not having enough air circulation, not painting things black, making the dehydrator too big in comparison with the solar heater part, ect.
Hey there guys.......It's hard to say. I had so much on hand already and I wouldn't have a clue on pricing that Elec. cabinet box. My best guess right off hand if I had to purchase everything would be somewhere around $300 - $400. I had almost everything here but I still had to purchase it at some point.
Oh I totally get that and had planned on covering or touching that subject with the review and thoughts I'm gonna give in the next vid. I considered the same when thinking about how much I would be willing to invest into something like this. Looking at the prices of electric driven ones in comparison to the solar all the while considering the pros and cons to both. ;)
LoL..... Yeah I finally remembered and figured it out. I get forgetful trying to talk in front of a camera worry about sound and battery life etc. Thanks.
Good job Thom
I really like your content on the Solar Food Dehydrator. You inspired me to start my own build, based to your build. Keep up the good work buddy.
Good video

What was the total cost in material to build. Not your labor.
