sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost my account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Gerardo Emiliano thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Mike I really appreciate how you explain things to those that are in different areas in why your operation does certain things. It’s nice seeing different tactics used in different soils and conditions. It blows me away that the Fendt struggles so much in your operation but would be a massive addition to our area in Midwest United States. Even in our long fields but we are flat mostly here. Thanks for all these uploads I watch and thumbs up every one of them.
OUTSTANDING video - no crazy axmurdering laughs and whack sounds/comments - just great footage and educating comments from a pro farmer........FINALLY 👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Mike, the 1050 is a big tractor here in Germany. And for you over there it's almost to small 😅 Your videos are really great. Could you try driving the 1050 with some different settings. Set the TMS to 1550 rpm and the engine compression where you have the 4% to 6% and the joystick acceleration to 1. the engine has the most torque at 1500 rpm. When you go to 1700 rpm you lose 200 Nm of torque.
I did it last week, think i spotted the farm with all the tractors lined up and the silo's, impressed with the vastness of the flat farmland on the border states.
When I was in my teens in the 70's we cultivated our lands one half summer fallow (SE Alberta), one half crop. Yup, the same thing today is called organic farming. We thought we were good we weren't. We destroyed the land. The same land now is being cultivated by my cousin's sons, no till, the land has never looked better. I look at the land today and am in awe about what in can produce.
Once again as soon as your video popped up I clicked on all else can wait lol.. could watch all day long .. makin the old work eh lol good stuff mike .. keep ur vids coming 👍
mike really enjoy ur assesment of the land as well as ur objectives for planting and wat the earth should look like fer optimum conditions thanks again for ur time
Good job Mike Here in Australia, we found that discing can actually preserve moisture by stopping the capillary action. It act's as a insulation to stop moisture from the subsoil being drawn to the surface where it dries out. That theory is provided that you don't get more rain that compacts the insulated surface.
Now I know what this is. When Zach says it it sounds like Day-go-man. How many acres/fields are there you seem to go forever! Thanks again and keep up the awesome vids.
Haha yeah, Degelman is built right here in Saskatchewan.. Also, so is Rite way rollers, Bourgault, Morris, Seed Master, and I know I am forgetting a bunch 🙂🤷♂️

Mike: Great video! you are doing what i love doing, running a disc in a field & workng on the farm. i'm saying this because i grew up on a small farm here is New-Brunswick and even if it was like well over 25 years ago, i still have a love of farming in my heart. Our equipment was puny compare to what you are using today. it just shows how much has change in farming in the last 20 years. Thanks for sharing this with us & have a good day! #plant2020 PS: if i was closer, i would love to take a farm tour and go drive along the US/Canada border as well!
Last week I was saying how he would have an easier time with his seeding if he broke it up first wouldn’t have to have the air drills they are a pain just so many components haha and now he is doing exactly what I suggested definitely needs a quad reach so he could pull at 15 16 mph
Always looking forward to your next video. I especially enjoyed your Chickpea video from a week ago In a future video would you talk about how you go about deciding in which sequence your crops are seeded? I'd like to hear about the factors you take into account and why. For example what role does ground temperature, speed of emergence, maturation dates, sensitivity to frost, etc. factor into your strategy and how it plays into your harvest plans. Also, no mention of the #2 surprise...😐
Set your cruise speed faster than you need then the actual travel speed will be what you want because the tractors pushing to reach your faster cruise speed. Majority of fendts do this under load.
I actually have done that yes.. But it didn't make any difference.. Just like when I was pulling the Protill, I had it set at 13 mph and it still stayed at 10mph because that's all the power it had..
Fendt is builded for europe. We dont have too big fields here but plenty of them are on a hill. We do mostly 9-12 furrow plowing with it (BUT we have much heavier soil here) and it works well under those conditions. It is also much lighter than quadtrack, so it looses lot of power just by slipping..you know..Case Magnum never had this power, it ended around 460hp if im not mistaken, exactly because of this problem. Europe is other thing, since carting is mostly long distace haul and even with heavy load this thing can run like 40mph on the road, thats why we need that power on wheeled "light" tractor. Try putting tracks on it, that will solve your problems, i think.
I’m beyond disappointed with your Fendt 1050. Love your channel and your content. You’re in desperate need of a Big Bud! God Bless have a great season!
Now Mike I know what your going to say before I ask it but I sure would like to see you get a drone and do some air shots of the machines working. Have a great rest of your day and be safe out there.
Hey Mike, great video again in a nice sequence! Like the sound / music of the Fendt, during hard work ;). Nice to hear on how you approach this new field, etc. Did you say you are going about one inch deep? One question on conserving the water in the soil in best way. Isn't this additional treatment supporting that, as the toplayer becomes loose and that reduce limit the vertical water transport to the surface? By the way are you monitoring the soil moisture one way or another. Interesting to see how the drill is working after this limited vertical 'tillage'. Many thanks! and enjoy all the big toys 👍

Implement - 34,500lbs
Hitch weight - 8500lbs
Keep up with your great work and comements

Hello sir you are doing very hard work 😅
Change of pace will keep away the seeding crazies ( just saw that one😂), fendt is a nice ride👍
The fendt 1050 tractors with vario grip do go as low as that but i don't know if they run special tires of anything.
Michelin Axiobib IF- runs lower pressure than standard radial tires. agricultural.michelin.co.uk/uk/Our-Tyres/Tractor/UK-AXIOBIB
I think no till seems to be the best way to go, but I'm all for it if need be since you have to work with what you can on the land.
In between those Fendt tires looks like two tubby people with tight shorts on 😂😂🤣🤣

Correct me if ii am wrong. It Seem to me the TMS is not max out on rev settings. At 4% the engine should be reving at 2000+ rpm
Max. rpm of the engine is 1700.
Great awesome video mike, what future is for the fendt or is it going back to the dealership?
Will say the pro till is very well built , we use lemkin

40 foot Salford I say does a great Job. Pull it with a Challenger 640hp. Ever try one??
I haven't no
I def think you should def stick to the rx or quad trax for pulling those huge air drills!
Mike do u put antifreeze or water in your tires
When you take on new land like this, do you ever survey it with a drone or get areal views with the plane to give an indication of what it is like before planting?
Because it's right beside us.. And you don't pass down land on your door step..
Hey Mike, how many horsepower per foot do they recommend you have for the high speed tiller? I know they are heavy implements plus pulling at 10mph or so. Your videos are informative and humorous. 😂😊👍
15 horsepower per foot minimum per manufacturer....would actually reccomend 20hp/ft
Then you'd need a 800 horse power to do a ptotill
hey mike loving the videos wouldn't mind see some face action too while your recording stay safe love from Ontario!
So will those Bourgault drills still keep a consistent depth of seeding when you go over the tilled stuff vs the no-till areas?
Yeah, they are pretty good
