Completely disagree with you here. CVT, ADAS, and Left Lane watch cameras are much more important than the Sunroof and the stupid AMT! People who are buying cars for a sunroof really need to get some help! It is not a novelty, is mostly misused and the mechanism will give you issues sooner than later, not to mention the environmental conditions in India that make this irrational.

Sunroof was created specially for European market or the countries which receives very less sunlight. If you watch the video properly, we have indeed clearly given more weightage to Adas and build quality. We cannot however decide for people. Sunroof is indeed useless , but if people want it, they want it. We can only spell it out.

No one is promoting anything, we are just mentioning it. It's a personal choice and one of the most sought after features in the Indian market. Like it or not, people want it. It's a decision which is driven by the kids and females in the family - more emotional than logical. But just because we don't like it, doesn't mean we don't mention it. In automatic, Desire gives only the lowest basic transmission, namely Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) whereas Amaze comes with with a more sophisticated and smoother CVT. Second point is that Desire has a new 3 cylinder engine that could give greater vibration and lesser smoothness compared to Amaze's 4 cylinder much tested engine.
But Dzire'e engine has better low-end pickup which makes its drivability better in the city, Also Dzire's engine is 3 cylinder its still a refined engine. Amaze's camera based ADAS is useless. Dzire has feature of TPMS , better infotainment , 360 camera, 5 star safety and better seats and also better mileage. Ride comfort is good on both cars. Even though CVT tech in Amaze is superior its way more expensive than an AMT in the Dzire. If someone needs a Honda badge you can go for amaze.

Booked zxi red color which comes with black alloys which in my opinion is better looking than diamond cuts. Can live without sunroof, 360, cruise . But will fix led fogs and wrap the leather steering. Waiting for it. Excited
And this sunroof. What you do with this sunroof? I don't know why people want this . I own a 2011 Dzire and a 2019 Honda City. Both are no nonsense cars. Service wise Honda is cheaper than Maruti

I agree with you fully. Not many people will highlight the engine caveats as you did. I have driven cars with both Honda and Suzuki engines. Unfortunately even if the Honda will be much more powerful on paper, it achieves peak power and torque at higher rpms only. Suzuki engines do it at lower rpms. Although I am not at all a fan of Suzuki I have to hand it to them for designing for the Indian stop go traffic. We need power at lower rpms. Don’t get me wrong, in the highway redlining the honda engine is pure joy. Although practically I have done it only a handful of times. Fun but not practical
The peppier feeling which you get in Suzuki at lower RPM is not its power its actually the throws bole to jhatke which you feel. Drag race krlo you will get the results which engine delivers more power at lower rpms!!! End of discussion.

Adas system, corner camera, Adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and assistance, Automatic head lamp control makes Amaze outstanding against dezire. Sun roof is a redundant feature. In Hot country like India wherenin most of area there is sun 10 months across the year.

Using Honda Amaze Diesel 1.5 since 2020. You know what? I really salute to Honda motors for their honesty to the product. I've same feel of first day comfort, stability & performance and specially fuel efficiency always give 20 to 24/ltr same in city and highway too. *Important Tip:- Only go with Diesel 1.5 S model. 💛 ❤️ 🙏
My friend has Celerio and 2nd gen Amaze. He says Amaze has less stability compared to Celerio. Also he drives like a madman, not at all slowpoke driver. So the verdict is Amaze is not that stable i would say
One thing i have realized over years that why suzuki is the leader:- 1) happy revving , durable , long lasting and milaege friendly petrol engines. 2) the most important aspect that no-one points out , the clutch travel is short and soft clutch for changing gears , no-one comes even close to suzuki in this aspect 3) great resale and with no headache of shortage of parts and service network. I have owned a fird freestyle diesal and now having grand vitara petrol 1.5 NA. Suzuki is the best. There is no need apply extra brain in picking up cars just go for suzuki with now safety and build quality has significant improvement
Excellent explanation, truly informative! Verdict: If you’ve got cash to splash, go for the Amaze and enjoy its premium CVT and ADAS features. But if you’re budget-conscious, the Dzire VXI is way better in terms of milage, safe (in the new model) still in surprise, and easy on the wallet. Critics may scoff, but let’s face it, most of us end up with a Dzire. case in point, me 😂😂
both are Japanese siblings.. but Go for the Suzuki Dzire .. for a peaceful experience .. the cars are almost the same just 19-20 ka farak hai dono main and BOTH are reliable .. .... sum like sunroof can go for Dzire .. some like lane assist camera or want to go for a 4 cylinder option can go for Amaze.. well adas here is camera based and not radar based .. so its not a must have feature according to me... so the cars are somewhat similar .. but what adds a peaceful experience with the Dzire is Marutis Dealership and service network .. here in Goa we just have 2 honda workshops across the whole of goa .so for a simple servicing we have to drive miles to reach out the workshop.. but Maruti has 20 plus worshops which makes servicing a peaceful experience .. and not to forget How Honda Dealers force you to buy their shitty accessories which are highly over priced .. but at a Maruti showroom you will find it much peaceful as you nicely get to choose the accessories and customise your car as you would love too
Dzire is overall better car here . Better Safety (5 star rating) , Better low-end torque in the engine, Good refinement despite 3 cylinder, better mileage, better seat comfort and better infotainment system and more features like sunroof , TPMS and 360 camera
Amaze seems like the better deal to me, the fact that they chose to include ADAS instead of sunroof on the top variant goes to show that honda prefers quality over substance. Also the Dzire looks really nice in this colour.
Lol what quality there is no more quality in honda…i have seen very sadly how their quality went downhill from the brio days to their current city elevate and amaze lineup…there is nothing premium left in honda these days.
Desire is a better choice. 360 camera, sunroof, slightly better torque, better NVH, good mileage, excellent after Sales service, adjustable head rest, good touch screen system etc. Amaze have brand value but not worth it.

Sir, why didn't you speak about the gear box, and must need features like cruise control, paddle shifters. Review is incomplete without these things sir.
Honda should use the New Amaze look to make a Hatchback it will be a good option in Hatchback with 172 mm Ground Clearance and good looks with reliability. Specially When Swift is in 3 cylinder there is a scope for Honda to go with 4 cylinder and cut some sales of Baleno.
Conveniently ignored the heart of any car, powertrain. 3cylinder-AMT can not simply match with 4cylinder-CVT, Period. Most useless feature in a car is sunroof, that too in India.
I am still confused. If i consider my overall requirements, amaze would be my choice, but there are 2 things stopping me to go for it. First is crash test not yet done for amaze, the 2nd gen only scored 2 star in terms of saftey. And the second one is manual transmission mileage. if the crash test outcome is good, i will go for amaze anyday I will go for top end obviously, but manual transmission, I love the cvt but i don't want to pay that extra 80k in tax as the zx cvt price crossing 10lakhs margin For anyone of you, if you dont need adas, go for vx cvt varient
For common driver who can afford these cars, does that make any affect ? Even for CVT you need to be more careful and need extended warranty of there is any repairs.
Don't buy AMT or CVT. AMT has jerky gear shifts while CVT has a terrible rubber band effect. Just buy the manual. If you want automatic, TC and DCT are the ones to go for.

Sunroof is a personal choice, but the Dzire also gets better efficiency, better low end torque, better space and comfort for rear seats, 360 cam - of course Amaze has it's own advantages too

Remove sunroof and dzire is the best of the two. Sunroof is USELESS,NEEDLESS and shouldn't be promoted. But dzire is much better tailored for indian conditions. best to get 2nd top dzire.(lose out on cruise control)

It depends of how much your daily running is. For those who use their cars sparsely it should not matter. But if the running is more, then 5-6 kmpl can make a big difference

Amaze comes with an old SOHC engine whereas dzire comes with new advanced DOHC engine

Without sunroof the dezire could be more cost effective. An auto dimming Irvm, armrest would have been more appreciated.

Using Honda Amaze Diesel 1.5 since 2020. You know what? I really salute to Honda motors for their honesty to the product. I've same feel of first day comfort, stability & performance and specially fuel efficiency always give 20 to 24/ltr same in city and highway too. *Important Tip:- Only go with Diesel 1.5 S model. 💛 ❤️ 🙏
My friend has Celerio and 2nd gen Amaze. He says Amaze has less stability compared to Celerio. Also he drives like a madman, not at all slowpoke driver. So the verdict is Amaze is not that stable i would say

One thing i have realized over years that why suzuki is the leader:- 1) happy revving , durable , long lasting and milaege friendly petrol engines. 2) the most important aspect that no-one points out , the clutch travel is short and soft clutch for changing gears , no-one comes even close to suzuki in this aspect 3) great resale and with no headache of shortage of parts and service network. I have owned a fird freestyle diesal and now having grand vitara petrol 1.5 NA. Suzuki is the best. There is no need apply extra brain in picking up cars just go for suzuki with now safety and build quality has significant improvement

But if you’re budget-conscious, the Dzire VXI is way better in terms of milage, safe (in the new model) still in surprise, and easy on the wallet. both are Japanese siblings.. but Go for the Suzuki Dzire .. for a peaceful experience .. the cars are almost the same just 19-20 ka farak hai dono main and BOTH are reliable .. .... sum like sunroof can go for Dzire .. some like lane assist camera or want to go for a 4 cylinder option can go for Amaze.. well adas here is camera based and not radar based .. so its not a must have feature according to me... so the cars are somewhat similar .. but what adds a peaceful experience with the Dzire is Marutis Dealership and service network .. here in Goa we just have 2 honda workshops across the whole of goa .so for a simple servicing we have to drive miles to reach out the workshop.. but Maruti has 20 plus worshops which makes servicing a peaceful experience .. and not to forget How Honda Dealers force you to buy their shitty accessories which are highly over priced .. but at a Maruti showroom you will find it much peaceful as you nicely get to choose the accessories and customise your car as you would love too

Dzire is overall better car here . Better Safety (5 star rating) , Better low-end torque in the engine, Good refinement despite 3 cylinder, better mileage, better seat comfort and better infotainment system and more features like sunroof , TPMS and 360 camera

Amaze seems like the better deal to me, the fact that they chose to include ADAS instead of sunroof on the top variant goes to show that honda prefers quality over substance. Also the Dzire looks really nice in this colour.

Honda should use the New Amaze look to make a Hatchback it will be a good option in Hatchback with 172 mm Ground Clearance and good looks with reliability. Specially When Swift is in 3 cylinder there is a scope for Honda to go with 4 cylinder and cut some sales of Baleno.

I am still confused. If i consider my overall requirements, amaze would be my choice, but there are 2 things stopping me to go for it. First is crash test not yet done for amaze, the 2nd gen only scored 2 star in terms of saftey. And the second one is manual transmission mileage. if the crash test outcome is good, i will go for amaze anyday
I will go for top end obviously, but manual transmission, I love the cvt but i don't want to pay that extra 80k in tax as the zx cvt price crossing 10lakhs margin

Yes, CVT is better for smoothness and has paddle shifters too. The AMT is better for efficiency and cost
For common driver who can afford these cars, does that make any affect ? Even for CVT you need to be more careful and need extended warranty of there is any repairs.
Don't buy AMT or CVT. AMT has jerky gear shifts while CVT has a terrible rubber band effect. Just buy the manual. If you want automatic, TC and DCT are the ones to go for.

Sunroof is a personal choice, but the Dzire also gets better efficiency, better low end torque, better space and comfort for rear seats, 360 cam - of course Amaze has it's own advantages too
