Kev Yiu is a celebrated couture designer from Hong Kong, with over 15 years of experience in high-end dressmaking. Renowned for his unique vision of feminine body curvature, Kev’s glamorous designs feature luxurious detailing and intricate embroidery, attracting appreciation from international high fashion brands and celebrities. He graduated with triple distinctions in Fashion & Clothing in England in 2006 and launched his first brand, Sovereign Romance, upon returning to Hong Kong in 2007. Kev was recognized as a fashion icon by JESSICA CODE magazine in 2010 and 2014. In 2013, he rebranded Sovereign Romance to KEV YIU Couture, earning the Ten Outstanding Designers Award in 2014. In 2015, he co-founded the bridal wear brand KEVOLIE with actress Myolie Wu and continued to innovate within the fashion industry. In 2020, Kev joined Sennet Frères as a creative director alongside renowned singer Hins Cheung, establishing the Atelier. His work has been featured in top fashion magazines. In 2021, Kev made history as the first authorized designer in the Asia Pacific to create an entire couture collection inspired by all 14 Disney Princesses and Queens, further establishing his remarkable talent.
The “Watermarks” collection deeply explores the intrinsic connection between water and time, symbolizing the cycle of life and endless transformation. Water, as an eternal element, flows freely in its various forms, just like time progresses inexorably, never to be reversed. Our clothing designs draw inspiration from the gradient colours and flowing silhouettes of water, reflecting the passage of time and its ever-changing nature. Each piece features dynamic cuts and wave-like lines, allowing the wearer to feel as if they are immersed in a fluid environment, experiencing the gentle touch of time with every step.
Utilizing lightweight and transparent fabrics, Kev aims to capture the shimmering play of light on water surfaces, symbolizing the fleeting and precious nature of each moment. Through this collection, Kev invites wearers to embrace the power of time, recognizing that every drop of water carries the stories of the past and the possibilities of the future.
