the mountain where the sun went under is the third highest of Portugal @ 1421m,slightly to the right the next peak is the fourth highest,and is also the view I have from my terrace,@ 1342 m,my village lies at the foot.On 8/08/1988 we were thousands at night on the road to Teixeira,the road stands @ 960 m high,and the whole night it was a constant shower of stars and whatever moving in the pitch dark night,almost 36 years ago,nice video and the insects are ruthless @ night.hehehe

Living large, I'm inviting myself to one of your star gazing parties hehehehe. When star gazing, if you can find red lenses or red cellophane/plastic to put over you lights, it helps preserve your night vision. Every time you look at a white light, it takes roughly 20 minutes for your night vision to adjust. Reclining lawn chairs and a few blankets (cover the chairs and cover you). Alas, Pennsylvania had 2 evenings of showers and clouds. Thank you for filling my star gazing void! P.S. You kids need a floor fan for the barn/garage/work shop....No sense cooking your selves while you work! Thanks for all the time you're putting into the channel and what a beautiful spot to star gaze.
If you’ve got a mode of off road transport we’d be happy to welcome you on our trips 😃 we actually had reclining lawn chairs off camera 🤭 but missed the blankets… next time! Awh we’re sorry you didn’t get to see with your own eyes but we are glad to have given you the opportunity to see on video 😃 we actually have a floor fan too you might spot it in the video very briefly but it’s quite small we need an industrial floor fan ideally. I've watched the Perseid shower for years. Some years it's incredible, some not so much. I can't even convince my wife we need passports, let alone go star gazing in another country hehehehe. Someday! Ever consider a small scope for star gazing? I had a nice one for years but the light pollution has become so bad I let it go to another young star gazer. Was a little large to haul around and set up. Seeing and photographing the rings of Saturn or the moons of Jupiter is really cool and it doesn't take an expensive set up for viewing.@@jonnyandsamofficial
