There were numerous factors, including communication and geography that contributed to his intended vision, purpose and plan to go so horribly wrong. Wasn’t the trimming in fact begun by Wolsey? For example, Thomas Cromwell assisted in the dissolution of nearly thirty monasteries to raise funds for Wolsey to found The King's School, Ipswich (1528), and Cardinal College, in Oxford (1529). This was their plan, not something of Henry’s making.
