Really helpful video. Thanks. I had 1 question. I live in Mumbai where the rains are crazy. Have you had any experience of rain there in Hyderabad? Had the display gone off or any other problem due to rain?
That was great weekend shooting with Ranjit sir had a pleasant time shooting the Ather And the crazy talks we had oh god!!! Thank you for inviting us sir 😊
Hi Srikar, thanks for providing great insights on the scooter. Did you consider getting the Ola one ? Also do you have an idea about the life of the battery..after how much kilometres it needs to be replaced
What was the service cost that you paid for your service , I guess you would have completed 1-2 services, of your ather, did you face any problem till now???
You don't have to ride just in Eco Mode to get a decent mileage. There are a lot of users who are getting close to 100 kms with ride or sports mode. It depends on how you ride the vehicle. You have to maintain the right tyre pressure at all times, no rapid accelerating or breaking. Use regen when ever possible. Choose the right mode depending on the desired speed. eg : If you ride at a speed of 50 Kmph use ride mode and not eco mode. The max speed in Eco mode is 50kmph which will force the motor to peform at its limit (this reducing the range). For riding at 60-65kmph use sports mode. Also, try to avoid the red hallow around the range meter. Less the red hallow, less energy consumption, more range.
As the owner of the vehicle, you should know more about the vehicle in detail. First of all, the weight of the vehicle is just 108 kgs and not 115 or 150. Second, the 450+ also has all the connectivity options. It has 3 modes. It just doesn't have the WARP mode. Third, the ladies foot rest is avoided for safety purpose. Ather 450X is a performance scooter. As you know, if someone sits towards the side, the center of gravity of the vehicle shifts and if the pillion moves, you lose balance of the vehicle. Fourth, you don't have to ride just in ECO mode to get a good range. Ask anyone in the Ather community. A lot of them are getting close to 100 kms even in sports mode. Fifth, the service subscription is just an option. You can take it or not. 2400 plus GST covers everything including consumables, labour charge, roadside assistance etc. for a whole year. If you don't opt for a subscription plan, the service cost will be around 600-800 Rs per service plus consumables (if any).
I had the 450X for a day and I really loved it ! That amazing torque in the S and W modes is next level. Please don't ride it in eco though. The fun is simply taken away in that mode !
I have a 450X for a year now and I can easily get 75-80 km range in Sport mode. It's all about how you ride. I am not the only one, many other owners get good range in Sports mode. The guys interviewed here are new owners, it takes some time to understand and get good range out of it
Charging stations is the biggest obstacle right now. If that widen, there'll be no anxiety issues but the reality is it'll take time than expected (widening of charging stations). Enjoyed the end user review sir. Interpretation from both and demonstrating it were great!
That sound in the starting (probably of the motor)... @@imarchit I got it for ₹170000 including insurance and road tax. The subsidy increased later on, now it costs around ₹130000. I have ridden about 4k kms and saved a lot on fuel, around 10k is my guess. I charge it at home, never really felt the need to charge at Ather grid. Full charge takes 3 units of electricity, which is like ₹20-25. Ather Grids are supposed to be used for topping up when in emergency. Using it for regular daily 100% charging is like clogging it for others who might need it in emergency
Greekranjit reviewing the need of local public and reviewing best unit available in market just want know the capacity it can take in KG and will the portable universal charger which come with 450x need earthing
I have a doubt which I don't generally find across with other reviewers . Can this electric scooter be used for a moderate distance on double seat considering at some point in future you may have to take double seat your friend/ family member . What would be the general drop in range/percentage just take your and your friend's bodyweight as an example
Yes, it would work fine with Doubles as Srikar came with his friend as pillion for the shoot. I also sat as pillion it was a decent experience and the motor is powerful enough to easily pull with pillion. Yes the range might get reduced a bit but I doubt it would be more than 5% with doubles.
There is a article in ather forum about getting good range... For me in ride mode which 60 as company claimed I got 100+ kms... With speed of 50...if we are riding to the max speed in any mode the battery consumption will be higher... Example eco mode max speed is 40-45 so if anyone riding in 40+ speed in eco u have high battery consumption... In ride mode speed limit is 60..sports 70.sudden raise of throttle also lead to battery consumption... If the speed is gradually increased u will get good range... For more information find in the article in ather forum..
Reverse driving is a good feature. It really helps a lot! But what's that idle battery draining thing? That's much scaring! And is there any battery heating issue which affects the rider?
After watching all this EV reviews one thing i understood is, its not yet the time to buy one have to wait for another 1 or 2 years so that they can make it a bit more reliable...
One of the issue with electric vehicles are lack of charging stations. Hope in future we get plenty of charging stations. Till then i am not going to buy any electric vehicles....
I wanted to know more about the installation services of the home charger. Especially if these guys are staying in a high rise apartment like most of us. I wish that was covered in this video as well.
Sir, you could really change a little bit in your review, you should allow the user to talk when they got points, you will cut of the information that they will be eger to tell, that's very disappointing to the viewers.....
Hi bro I had Ather 450X you told some points wrong 1. First Service is 5000 km it costs 1050 and my suggestion their is a subscription plan for for 1 yr take subscription plan it costs 2000 for 3 to 4 service free parts replacement and labour charge also free 2.Don’t use eco mode only use all modes you get good range I am ride daily 54 km i am using spot and wrap mode after riding 54 km balance range i got 30 km some time i got 33 km 3. Thier are 2 options for charger when buying ather first is dot charger second one is portable charger choose any one charger both are good 4. Ather will not shake when riding at high speed (75-80 km ) 5.ather weight is 108-109 kg same as dio scooter weight
in maharashtra they announced the state subsidy thats around 25k and fame 2 icentive thats 44k so the pricing on road with tax and stuff for the 450x is 1.2 lakhs which is decent as the ntorq is around 1.1 lakhs!
Instead of increasing range, EV companies should provide more charging points(fast charge)..Maybre they should tie-up with petrol pumps and garages... I'm using a Hero Electric scooter and I feel the anxiety... It works great for driving in localities, it saves money but can't take it to far-off places and if I double carry, I need to think about the range !!

For more information find in the article in ather forum..
I was waiting for this !
Need this in depth review for Ola Electric
Weight of the Ather 450X is 108 Kgs.
Weight distribution is 52:48
i am loving these authentic vehicle reviews
did it ever shut down in the middle of a ride.... or any overheating.... or some weird sound ever heard.. any extra vibration felt?
No vibration as there is no engine, it's super smooth. That sound you hear is the belt sound.... It's audible till around 35Kmph then it goes off.
Reverse driving is a good feature. It really helps a lot! But what's that idle battery draining thing? That's much scaring! And is there any battery heating issue which affects the rider?
Randomly came on this video and saw Ranjit. Subscribed without watching 😀
Awesome, Ranjit sir and the guys as well. Good info.
❤️😍
Yes we are INDIANS
Jay Mata di.....🙏
Does this recharge itself ..with spining of tyres ..(while driving )
I doubt it might not !
After watching all this EV reviews one thing i understood is, its not yet the time to buy one have to wait for another 1 or 2 years so that they can make it a bit more reliable...
First comment
Big fan sir
How's the rear view mirror visibility, does it have main stand & 3 year buyback plan is genuine ?
One of the issue with electric vehicles are lack of charging stations. Hope in future we get plenty of charging stations. Till then i am not going to buy any electric vehicles....
Indian govt should make sure all the electric vehicle use same port for charging instead of proprietary one
It's the traction motor. Any motor even your water pump also hums up while running.
Sir, Good to see electric bike on your channel, want to see Ola S1 pro ASAP.
Which town is this? Sound (whining) of the engine is supposed to be built to provide some alerting to other road users.
What about there monthly payments
Its like recharges for using those modes
After how many kilometers/time battery should be replaced and cost incurred to buy new battery?
I wanted to know more about the installation services of the home charger. Especially if these guys are staying in a high rise apartment like most of us. I wish that was covered in this video as well.
Good review sir just now booked with token amount
Can you also make a video about Revolt RV 400 and Electric Cars like Nexon and all
Ranjith have you reviewed TVS iQube ?
Amazing Insights, Love this series of User Reviews 💯💯
great video sir. im really enjoying watch the videos on this channel.
Loved the video waiting for more videos like this
Sir, you could really change a little bit in your review, you should allow the user to talk when they got points, you will cut of the information that they will be eger to tell, that's very disappointing to the viewers.....
Hi bro I had Ather 450X you told some points wrong
1. First Service is 5000 km it costs 1050
and my suggestion their is a subscription plan for for 1 yr take subscription plan it costs 2000 for 3 to 4 service free parts replacement and labour charge also free
2.Don’t use eco mode only use all modes you get good range
I am ride daily 54 km i am using spot and wrap mode after riding 54 km balance range i got 30 km some time i got 33 km
3. Thier are 2 options for charger when buying ather first is dot charger second one is portable charger choose any one charger both are good
4. Ather will not shake when riding at high speed (75-80 km )
5.ather weight is 108-109 kg same as dio scooter weight
I am planning to own a vehicle in future should I go for active or ether
I love your all tech videos and reviews but this couldn't reach my expectations, although you are trying it for first time.
Very cool. Looks fantastic 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Is there any heating issue while driving continuesly?
in maharashtra they announced the state subsidy thats around 25k and fame 2 icentive thats 44k so the pricing on road with tax and stuff for the 450x is 1.2 lakhs which is decent as the ntorq is around 1.1 lakhs!
Warp mode is like 600-800 cc bike.... 😂. Nice one. Ever driven anything beyond 150cc??
Which one is better - Ather 450x or Bajaj chetak?
Instead of increasing range, EV companies should provide more charging points(fast charge)..Maybre they should tie-up with petrol pumps and garages... I'm using a Hero Electric scooter and I feel the anxiety... It works great for driving in localities, it saves money but can't take it to far-off places and if I double carry, I need to think about the range !!
So you are suggesting that more and more people should be on the charging station rather on roads? Both are equally important.
@@Adam_Sebastian all I'm saying 80km range is good enough if there are ample number of charging station !
@@anuragmitra1703 80Km is not so good range for a city like Hyderabad or any metro cities in general.
Amazing insight, specially idle drain 👍
Nice... Does it take a load of double seat?
