for how freaky wasps are, they're really beautiful creatures... and i'll say, that robber fly looks far scarier and more gross than any mud dauber in the video.
What a great video, another awesome job. These are really cool wasp. I had one get down the back of my shirt one day. It stung me several times until I got it out, it kept stinging over and over. Nothing like a paper wasp or bee's it was very light like a really light shock didn't really hurt just suprised me. It was glad to get out of my shirt me too. Love this stuff man you do an awesome job thanks for sharing
Dang, unlucky. They fly all around me during the day and never once have stung me. Never got one trapped against me tho. Still, I like them way more than other wasps cause they're always so chill.
@@Mattfreeman89 yes they are very laid back I've had them all around me like when a bunch of them first hatch out. They never think about attacking or stinging anyone but yes they can sting if you get one in your shirt but it's not a bad sting just enough to get your attention.🤣
"for the spiders sake, I hope it's a vegetative state". Man, nature is metal asf! Could you imagine conscious paralysis, inside a mud cave, and a giant grub is getting bigger and bigger, and then eats you! I like spiders, and I like mud daubbers, but I'd rather have spiders inside my house than mud daubers on my porch. That said, I still hate tearing them down, they work so hard to build the structures. The sounds they make while working on the nest reminds me of old school, 2-stroke dirtbikes! Great video, glad it was recommended to me.
Thank you! And yes, all kinds of claustrophobia while waiting to die. 😬 That is, if they are aware of what is happening. Yikes! I'm not certain with mud daubers, but with spider wasps, the larvae eat the victim's vital organs last so that it will stay alive as long as possible. 😬
Trust me you need to, when they really get calcified on the side of your house it can cause some damage to ur paint and siding. I'm not gonna harass them if theyre keeping on the bricks or concrete even the gutters but if they get on anything with paint on it they get that pressure washer. I'm not a tyrant I don't use poisons on outside bugs but fair is fair don't go damaging my house
These guys love to gather in my yard and i take care to avoid disturbing them. They're definitely helpful especially for all the harmful spiders in my area
If you're referring to the paralyzing of spiders, then yes. I'm not certain if they offer as many to each larva as the black and yellow, but they certainly do use the spiders in the same way.
BRB I have to protect and hide my jumping spider!! His name is Spinner and I love him!! I have Spinner for 1 year and 1 month.... I did go tell him after I locked him away Ill protect him!! (-:
I would never harm a mud dauber or spider wasp . I'm scared to death of a spider and these little wasp are my friends . Lol. I love watching them them wolf spiders.
Poor spiders
They are like xenomorphs.
I am amazed what the Mud Dauber can do. WOW! My first introduction and I learned from it.

Yes, robber flies are definitely creepier than the wasps! 🤣
We need to get scorpions to get revenge for their fellow arachnids.
🤣🤣🤣

Thank you, Kevin! Glad to know the stings weren't too bad!

I will never destroy another dauber’s nest

I only hose them off after they've all checked out.
That's not a single dinner event. That's a all you can eat buffet with a doggie bag option 😂😂
Awesome video - thanks, Randy!
Thank you!
Good job, you kept my interest trying to learn more.

Harmful spiders? Don't the spiders themselves eat the pest bugs?
I had a mantis on my porch the other day eating a dirt dauber
Thank you for letting me know! I'm planning to feature the black-and-yellow mud dauber in a future video, and I will include that.
its the insect families answer to mid tier spiders. this is amazing, I have the metallic blue type of Mud Daubers, do they do this ritual?

Also a planes worst nightmare.
Yeah, I debated whether or not to mention that in this video, but I think I will in a future video.
In the other photo was a huntsman spider
