Hopefully we stay humble as a side and continue to work. We seem to play to the level of the opposition so these next 3 weeks aren’t the gimmies everyone thinks they are.
I’m a Don and we need to keep getting the W’s. There are no gimmies in the AFL. 13 wins will get us there so much work to do. Go Dons😉🇦🇺👊
If I was a Don I wouldn’t be too focused on this year.
I’d just be happy that that the Essendon Football Club has appointed a gun coach with a master plan.
Brad Scott has deliberately mentioned he has an 8year plan.
A plan to make the Bombers a continuous contender for the flag year in year out.
If I were you
I’d just sit back a little more and enjoy the ride you and your Bomber mates are about to go on for the next decade
Up the Dons❤️🖤

Stay rad my friend 🫵👍
I love Anzac (merret) day it's my favourite day and dons are really good we they are going to be bestest premiership club of all time ever in like 2 - 10 years. Don the sash whatever it takes go dons see the dons fly uppp!!!

@dragonoftheeast695 Been a fan of Scott for a while. Felt from early on in his tenure he could break it down really well. He would explain where we won or lost the game, not many coaches give you that insight. I think he's got the right balance between tough / nurturing / fair.
Nice one Kingy, "Cox was enormous there" 😂😂

He never said he had an 8 year plan. He said that the core of this group of players have 8 years together.
@@seedy80 wow geez I’m sooooo sorry…
I won’t forgive myself for slightly arranging the words differently that basically means the same thing..
My deepest apologies 🙏
Brad is key
My thoughts exactly. You just put it together better than I ever could.
None of it counts until it means something. Let's see what happens in September - Bombers fan
That’s it. It’s one thing to qualify, another to do so whilst in form. If we can carry some form into September and get a home final then who knows, might finally shake it.
Mate let’s start with qualifying first. Can’t win a final if we r not in it. After the terrible finish last year and an average start this year - the improvement post Port game has been phenomenal.
They need to finish strong and maybe have a bit of luck in the draw, in that you want to be playing a final at Marvel - the season is so even at the top end, you could still have a good year, but end up playing your first final at the SCG or Adelaide Oval.
If I were Brad Scott, I’d be telling the team to ignore every media posting they have seen and to get on with the job.
No doubt he is already doing that. When you hear the players talking about "concentrating the things we can control" means they are receiving the right message.
Done forget Kelly shutting down Green... made an impact!
Looking forward to the defence additions over the coming weeks Reid Ridley this will sure up the d50, hopefully no injuries as this is our area with the least amount of depth! Go Don
They like to run with the "how many days since EFC has won a final"! Absolutely BS media and nuffie oppo supporter gibberish. What is most important is playing a solid 23 weeks and then backing it up and doing it again next year. And if they do that then finals will take care of itself!
Typical flog comment from King.
It's relevant to mention. Essendon have 0 finals experience and haven't had any for 20 years. They might not cope with the pressure and expectation that comes with finals.
@@Boz196 Yes but if they build a consistent brand over time then that will change. And, how many premiership teams have had limited finals experience and succeeded? Plenty!
@@Boz196your comment is factually incorrect 🤦
Focus on this week's game.Enjoy the moment, a great goal or an incredible defensive effort
Here comes the Essendon Edge. But but we are still have a lot to improve
Have to admire what Brad Scott has done at this club... The infighting has gone as far as we know... The players are playing for the jumper & not individually...
This is the most excited I’ve been as a don for a long time! There’s something different about this team this year.
Bonza living the dream 😂😂❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
They are Collingwood Lite.
The lid isnt fully off for me and the bombers. We clearly have the belief and the spirit, but we gotta keep getting those wins until top 8 is a lock.
A ways to go before the final eight positions's are decided in season 2024.
I feel it's Essendons premiership to lose at this point. They have heaps of momentum
Important to remember, the dons have had an easy run so far. Have only beaten 1 genuinely good side in GWS. But a good win at that.
@jessehaberle haha u seem to have it all figured out genius
I’m worried about essendons very low percentage. It will bite them in the end if they lose a few games.
we have a draw bro wdym
The drama queens in the footy media at it again.
N.daicos brownlow 2024😂😂❤❤😂😂❤😂😂😂😂I 😂😂😂😂😂😂
🙄
Defensive elite? They're 13th for points scored against. They're not even a top 10 defensive side.
lmao it’s Essendon remember? They’ll fade late and miss the 8.
There is very little chance they miss the 8 with how they have played, how clearly resilient they have finally become and how favourable their draw is for the rest of the season particularly in the next 2-3 weeks. Its also likely the teams in the top 8 right now will largely stay there for the rest of the season after the Adelaide and Brisbane draw.
Yeah Jesse, when you have an external review come in and say that fitness was absolutely deplorable a couple years ago, and you have a new coach come in and make changes to address the issues the review found, and then all of this season the fourth quarters have been reliable if not straight up a strong point of the team..... yeah nah, they'll just always have mediocre fitness. Nothing you can do about it i guess? /sarcasm
you say that, yet excluding last year, Essendon normally start the season atrociously and finish hot, usually either missing finals between 9-12 one year, and then finishing just in the 8 in the off years. sooooo
@@whiteknight560Also keep in mind the Bombers were literally sitting 5th on the Ladder at the end of Round 17 last season before that almighty collapse. So they clearly possess the ability to finish about that high a little bit like the Blues last season when they finally worked things out and absolutely nailed the balance of their team selections that ended up serving them tremendously well in the Finals.
With that mindset you must be good at picking stocks? If the past never changed we would still living in caves. Flog comment.
The sample size isn't worth a mention, Essendon have beaten one top eight team, sit down with your praise for this mediocre at best and basket case of a team. Let's talk about proper AFL teams.
Way overhyped. If Mihocek kicked one behind instead of two out on the full on Anzac Day. Essendon would be tenth. Essendon do this annually, get our hopes up and then flop.
Fair dinkum unbelivable 😂😂❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't know we got soundly beaten by port and Sydney, scraped home against West coast. Yeah we're tracking good but we've had a favourable draw so far. I reckon we'll finish the year around the 8th mark😊
Come on brad Scott
Wrong Kingy. McKay is our best defender now.
It’s still Ridley
@@quinngerlinger7347 No it’s not. McKay is bigger and can do everything Ridley does. McKay is elite.
@@richardwood9177 Ridley is more fleet footed and a better kick but they compliment each other due to their style of defending. I’d have McKay slightly ahead as he makes life easier around him
Definitely still Ridley @@quinngerlinger7347
@richardwood9177 opinions are like arse 🕳 we all have 1
