I’m a nerd with you! I’m just in my “true vintage era”. I LOVE curating vintage spaces in my home that are still cohesive and doesn’t look like overkill or cluttered. I still struggle with how best to do it but with sweet ladies like you showing what you do I know have a much better idea of how to do this!
I guess I’m a nerd too!!!! I don’t buy many things new…..I always look for a thrift shop, no matter where I’m going… I shouted out loud when I saw that dresser for $40… What a deal ,it’s beautiful!!!!! I just got a cabinet for under our TV and as I was cleaning it up I saw writing on it that says 1971! I love vintage and antique things!!!! I get so excited!!!!!
After I left I couldn’t stop thinking about the dresser and am still tempted to go back and get it!! 🤣 Such a joy finding old things! They don’t make things like they used to
Thank you very much for your time and your great videos. I always enjoy seeing them. I'm really looking forward to your baking video, I still have a lot to learn about it. My in-laws had an organic bakery until they retired and I never had to bake myself to get good organic bread. But now it's time to try it yourself. Greetings from Germany, God protect you and your family
Haha my big kids would have when they were little! Now that I have older kids I think there’s too much going on for the toddler to get into too much trouble!
not me also in the midwest trying to figure out where that antique stores is 😂🌽 love what you did in the nursery- my style of decor. The vibe of- A step back into “the good old days” ❤
That basket is ADORABLE! I’m trying to blog more too but like you said, it’s so hard to prioritize. I used to be a “boss mom” and now I’m seeing the error of my ways and how the house and family came second with that mindset. If it’s Gods will we can do it!
Think I have same small table that may be a plant stand...which is how I use it. Plant stand/table I found is wood with marble top. For my old quilts, I added a dowel rod on top to hang on wall like artwork. Love them In guest bedrooms.
Hi I love to watch your videos. I am close to 60 and love to see younger women cook from scratch, thrift and be frugal Your taste and style is great ♥️ I am so curious about your ovens. The inside shelf opens and slides back nicely. What brand is it? Keep the videos coming please. So proud of you and would love to meet you one day
You are absolutely saying Pfaltzgraff correctly! I love their dishes. I picked out a pattern when I got married 33 years ago and have a full set. Then I inherited my Grandmother's set, totally different. Great finds!
Lol I sew the same way. The nursing is looking beautiful. Also, the last sour dough recipe you shared that was the closed crust. I made it a few days ago and that was the first recipe that turned out right for me. I did what you said were you adjust depending on how it looks and I added sesame seeds and it's turned out beautifully. I have the second loaf in the fridge now and I'll be baking it later today. Thank you!!
Great finds ! I am the same way with thrift shops in every direction depending which town I'm going to 😂. Totally jealous of the fall colors ! We are just starting to change here in Texas
I’m so excited RUclips sent me your channel. I love your vintage taste and living country nontoxic free my world exactly. I subscribed and looking forward to visiting your other videos.
Off topic, but I keep catching glimpses of your wood floors. We are in the process of building our own new home so I am currently hyper aware of looking at people's cabinets, floors, fixtures, etc even when it isn't the focus of the video or picture 😅Would you mind sharing information on your floors? Thank you! Monday Family Farm in Missouri
Fpaltzgraff =Falts Graff There used to be a large outlet store in New Jersey, as a new bride I got to go there, and I purchased so much, all I one pattern. But that was 47 years, ago. I'm guessing the store is no longer around.
Beautiful finds! Nursery is coming along perfectly! Definitely allot Id be tempted to buy in your 1st antique store!!🥰 And would love to know what mattress you went with!? I'm currently preparing for Baby #5 and did the same with my mattress was time to rebuy everything 😭 I actually had gotten rid of all the baby stuff thinking I wasn't having more but just never know what God can bless us with ❤ looking forward to your Large Sour dough bread loaf! 👌
It ssoooo tempting to buy everything 🤣 in fact, if I needed another hobby I’d love to curate custom antique collections for people! I linked it in the description - NOT cheap 😬 but I figure we have several years of use ahead and the old one I had really got worn down
@@HopewellHeightsThank you!! Definitely will use both of those sites!👌 Appreciate you linking them! I'm all "new mom" again, it's been 15years since my first and 9 since my last.. 😱 ha! But with allot of experience you learn what's necessity 😉 That hobby sounds supper fun! You would be great at it! Who knows what the future holds 😉🤗 God Bless
I love thrift store and antique shops but all the ones around here lately in literally junk and expensive at that. Lot of stores now have become so much and would LOVE finding some good old items like yours has. I dont know where you are located and we have small farm too and always looking for doors and building materials and stuff too. Im in GA on AL /GA border and the best ones Ive gone to in another state 8 hrs away where my family is and dont get chance to go up there often but last time wish I had trailer with me to bring goodie home. Would love a good thirfting buddy too though my husband and sons are pretty good too when available.
Please let me know where you got thar dress! I absolutely love it. I am new to dress wearing. At the age of 37 I fell under the conviction that I was not honoring the gender that God gave me as I should and I have been now wearing dresses or skirts exclusively for a little over a year. I used to NEVER wear them. I always wore t-shirts and jeans and dressed fairly masculine. Anyway, it's a long story. I am so glad God convicted me of this and I absolutely LOVE dresses and skirts now. But there are only so many I can find that are truly modest and also comfortable. I am 5 and a half months pregnant and I need the stretchy waisted dresses and skirts right now. I would greatly arreciate advice on modest clothing sources. God bless.
Would you be willing to share a basic area that you are in? We are a Christian homeschool family considering a move to MO and hoping to find a good church and homeschool community.
We are from Columbia and the area north of us (Sturgeon, Moberly, etc) is so nice and rural, but with good access to lots of stores within half an hour. We’d love it if you checked out our church too, if you want! 😊 Bible Baptist Church, Columbia MO. ❤
@@mykaelaorwig9646 I will check it out! Thank you so much for your kindness! It’s been a long dry spell with o community and we are currently driving an hour to church.
Gotta love a good thrift haul, I've become very selective on my purchases I often leave empty handed lately.
Quilts are always so high. I love them, though.

Yes vintage era is the perfect way to put it!

Well said. 😊
I had my last at 47. You could have lots more. They are all blessings.
That’s amazing!! I would love that!
It’s important to leave kitchen clean, so when you wake up all you have is your coffee😊
I wish I had something passed down from my grandmother. I love antiques.
I love thrifting!!
Omg i would go crazy in that store 😊
Nice video Steph. Your dress was pretty. Glad you found some goodies at the shops. Baby’s room is coming along nicely. God bless :)

New subscriber. I liked the simplicity of the nursery nook.
Thank you!
I’m a morning person also. I like to my housework in the a.m. I like to listen to Christian music when I clean.

@HopewellHeights hahaha, my oldest are 12 and 10 but our 2 year old has been the most destructive yet!! 🤣

yes!! I used to be the same way, total boss babe mentality haha I cringe at that now but live and learn!
I think we're all thrift nerds here lol😂😂😂

I and my family had the wooden tables with the marble tops many many years ago!! They were really popular in the 80's and 90's.
Best way to make a house s home, so beautiful I just live what you've found
Your home is so beautiful 😍
Missouri is beautiful this time of year.🍂 I always love your videos.🤎
Thank you!!
The doors in the background of the quilt rack clip are stunning!
Thank you! Knotty Alder
LOVE thrifting. Love finding antiques to decorate with. Husband and I are looking for an old farm house to restore.
You are amazing ❤️
Clean as you go… so there is no evening cleanup or at least it will be very minimal

You're one of my role models! I feel like I'm a lot like you, but younger and less mature.

I have to ask where you get your dresses from?! They’re always so beautiful & they look comfortable !
I want to know so badly also. Have you happened to find anything close to this dress since posting this comment? If so, please advice.
Beautiful 👏👏👏👏👏

Great Video!
Any glassware considered “a set” has an even amount of pieces. Just a lil thrifting trivia. 🎄
I love thrifting and I am new here!! I subscribed!!
That basket for toys is too cute! What great finds. Just curious, does your outdoor couch get moldy from the wet weather?
I wondered this too!
Holaaa desde Uruguay ❤ nueva suscriptora😊

Where are you in the Midwest? I’m from WV. Just curious

What is the name of the stores you shopped at? I love thrifting.
I'd like to know too.
❤
Does anyone have a recommendation for an editor?

May I ask where you got your dress from? It’s beautiful.
The brand is Promesa, it’s old so I don’t remember where it’s from!
What antique shop were you at in the beginning? I need to go!
If I may ask.. where is your dress from? I like😊
It’s a few years old so I don’t remember where it’s from but the brand is Promesa 😊
Is the crib missing a side? One the child gets bigger, the pictures on the wall are in the baby’s reach…
I have 2 quilts that I would gift to you if you could pay for shipping
I have thrifed my entire life, I'm 69. Really it's a God thing, no other way to explain it, just tickles me pink 🩷
