@frenchkids not sure if they consider them more than supporting members, im pretty sure theyre not regarded as anything more than temporary, but ur right, if they were disconcerted by curtis' contribution they wouldve replaced him, which supports the case of his and pajo roles being considered as merely for a time... but i am hoping they choose to play with another keyboardist soon, if at least for that variety in the line-up they mentioned before after carlos' departure...
The creative decision is in choosing to 'execute' the vocals in a particular way. Banks and the rest of the band have played countless shows with him, and they are obviously fine with it or they would have rectified it. Who are you to decide what is interpol and what isn't. Curtis is revered by every member of the band. THEY think he is Interpol. That's all that matters.
Thanks for the new slang. I agree, but it isn't really like they have a choice. Daniel doesn't like to sing and Paul can't hit that high note on the chorus without straining.
@girlsix79 Secret machines? One of the most unique voices I've heard in years. The band are obviously happy with his or there creative decision. I'd trust there judgement over your's any day.
@frenchkids Creative? There's nothing creative in Brandon Curtis join in the band on tour. He's just an executor and they shouldn't have made him sing the backvocals, on the record are Banks', not his. If you like his voice you should keep listening to Secret Machines, I don't like it and, most of all, is not Interpol.
@tootermcgruder The only thing that sounds wrong to me is that his backing vocals are too prominent in the mix. They are "backing" vocals after all so the volume of his mic should be turned down a bit but the tone of his voice and the sound of it are just fine to me.
@carlo88moe That's a valid point. Danel is a fan of Pajo and has stated this in a couple of interviews. Paul and Daniel are both big fans of secret machines. Sam regards them as very special additions to the tour. They're not just hired help. Unless all three members are being disingenuous, then it is a collaboration based on profound respect.
@wangerin im pretty sure it wasnt brandons decision to do the chorus part of the song. as a supporting member hes just doing what hes told and i think he does a great job doing it. i do agree that the album version does sound better with pauls voice, but then again who really can match pauls voice?
His voice is so unique and i love it especially the way he says barricade @1:56
Holy shit this comment section is terrible. Barricade is an underrated single, and this live version is really great. Love that bass

Lets make this co'm'mentary come to the top of this video!

Interpol não e pra qualquer um, é pra quem gosta e entende de verdade sua mensagem, basta ver o número de comentários!

New bass player ?
When you have good music you don't need expensive video production..
it's this a video copy of Acoustic Hits of The Cure??? anyway i fucking love both bands!!!
@dignatron and drums ;)
And keys..
Man, I think they politely need to tell the keyboardist to "86" the back-up vocals in this song. His voice just sounds so out of place on this song.

@@verylegalverycoolPaul can't do falsetto?
and keyboard player
the drummbeat and the bass is the best of this song, amazing!!
The most awesome thing I've ever heard. I'd call it; a tale of three guitars.
There's only 2...
I literally told my band today to let the chorus hit them hard when listening and those 3 guitars are just amazingly written.
Badass performance 😎👌🏼
