We have a vendor night once a month , we meet snack, owner talks, other vendor talks, we suggest things also....ask your owner of mall to start this it's only once a month for about two hours
@@theturnedleg we do too! Also for 7 a month we can get reports every night ad to what sol that day, price , record of last 7 days, and what sold so far that month. I love this I know what sold and what I need to fill in
Great information. I tend to sell more when I’m in my booth. When I’m there restocking or cleaning up I greet every person who comes in and let them know I can answer any questions. I just sold a piece of artwork the other day and part of making the sale was due to the fact I was there. The customer and I engaged in conversation and she said she had been eyeing it for some time. Because I made it personal by talking about it and explaining my process, she bought it!
Great advice and a well thought out video! I’ve had a booth for two years and use a lot of your tips, especially moving items around to a new spot! Has definitely helped sales.
Too funny - I believe I just purchased something in your booth today. It's a painting on an old piece of wood - and it's a potted geranium plant. I've looked at that for months and today I treated myself... just because! I really enjoy so many pieces you have in your booth and the Plaza Antiques Mall itself. My daughter and I have become regulars. Thank you :)
Thank you for making these videos! I find them very helpful. I find inspiration in them. I love repurposing as well. You do a fantastic job. Thank you!!!!
3 weeks in our new booth and 5 items have sold. Thankfully it covered the first months rent but we need to work smarter so we actually see a check this month.😅 Keep the tips coming! I really need all the help I can get!
Starting the hardest...but you are doing it. So proud of you! If you want weekly tips and to be apart of a community of booth owners I have a private Facebook group. There is a monthly fee, but in January prices go up so you can lock in now and get planning with me for a successful 2024. The membership includes weekly lives with me where you can also ask any questions you have. I also have a bunch of previous lives and helpful handouts and materials. Best of all you can deduct the cost as a business expense. Here is the link for more information if you are interested. shoptheturnedleg.com/pages/booth-101-booth-owners-business-group
If a booth is less expensive than a storage unit, then keep the booth. It’s worth not having it all stored at home. We should also be posting our items to sell locally and smalls online. Great sales to everyone!
All great advice!!! The moving thing is so real. 2 weeks ago I sold 3 pieces of art in a day all from the same spot. One sold so I put out another and then it sold and I laughed and did it again all in one busy day 🤣. Wish that trend would continue 🤣. Also am I the thrifter who buys too much?! Probably 🤣🤣🤣😍❤️😜
@@theturnedleg I was sure when I filled a cart again today you were gonna say yes 😜❤️❤️ but I see you sweet as ever reply. Keep up those great tips. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thx you for this valuable info! We opened our first booth last month (Feb. 2023), and are coming along nicely. We’ve watched many of your videos and they are soooo helpful (we’re both retired teachers too.). Keep ‘em coming!
Thank you for sharing your tips! I watch lots of reseller videos, but you are one of only a few that actually teaches people how to sell at an antique mall! You’re still teaching, just in a different setting!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for your kind words. Just want to help share what I have learned it helped me so much and when I started there was very little information. Luckily a few expert booth owners helped me a lot.
Thank you for sharing! How about seasonal decor? That works wonders for me - when I first opened my booth it was a little behind on the seasonal calendar and I left it as is for a while. Once I started decorating with the seasons my sales skyrocketted.
I had to enter all the way to the L in your name before you popped up in the search list. It seems youtube has done something?? Im a faithful subscriber to you and many others. Many are not popping up in my feed and to search to the l is odd. So im just here hoping to raise algorithms! Lol Love your videos! ❤
Thanks for sharing your tips! I have done well in my booth up until this month. I have literally sold nothing in March so far. Not one item. I can only attribute that to being extremely distracted this month, therefore neglecting my business. I had been going once a week to fluff and was working my socials every morning. It's so interesting to me that this actually did make a difference! I need to get back to it!
Wonderful advice! I just got set up at a local antique mall in my small community. It’s not a booth but rather a table that I rent. I am loving it. I stop by and move stuff around weekly. However, I definitely need to take your advice about analyzing and knowing what I’m spending to figure out how to make money lol. My prices range from about $9.95 to $39.95. With it being a table I can’t do big furniture. That is ok with me for now. I am anxious to see how each months sales go my first year. Keep the advice coming and thanks for being an inspiration. ❤
Thanks for your booth info. I do find that as soon as I move things, they seem to sell! I know smalls are what pay the rent, but displaying can be a challenge. I was looking into possible sourcing by booth with DIY Paints. But I couldn't find out about how much capital outlay I need to invest initially. There is another location in my town. But they don't have the foot traffic my mall has. Any advice? Great videos.
Hello. To be a DIY Paint retailer there are territories. If there is someone nearby you probably will not be able to sell. For more information visit the DIY Paint page and complete a retailer application.
Thanks for your help!!!
You're welcome!

It does help and encourages a change around of the booth. There are a few seasons that just don't sell too well in my area...but look pretty...

Pretty impressive that you figured that out. Some get discouraged and then just stop. I do the same…if sales are down then I hussle more.

You are very welcome. Good luck with your space. It might be a blessing you don't have to haul furniture, trust me.
@@theturnedleg I am sure it can be cumbersome hauling furniture. I loved your latest piece you did in the blue colors that you blended! 💙

Personally I like all the color. I don't like all the black white and gray
