I'm 15 too and I've been homeschooled pretty much my whole life now. I only went to school for 4th and 5th grade. Those 2 school years were stressful as heck. Tbh, only reason why I stopped going is because of covid, and I'm actually glad. Also, I'm going through pretty much the same problem as you. We must stay focused.

Wow... This is the first time a male has captured how it feels to be a women with hijab and abaya in high school. The amount of disrespect I was handed for wearing abaya and hijab- was disregarded and always put to the side by men AND women was insane.
I am also happy you mentioned the struggles with women and P, the reason why studies show women watch it less isn't because they actually do but because they are more embarrassed or in-denial (Women watch it the same amount as men) I know this because in my MUSLIM community many girls have told me about how they struggle with this and I actually had to Inform them it was haram! they had no idea it was haram! One girl was so shocked she made be show her a sheikhs fatwa.

As someone who just graduated this video definitely hit home. Earlier in highschool I was fascinated by computers and wanted to sit behind a PC coding all day (developing) until I realized that it wasn't for me after struggling in a coding class I enrolled in 10th grade. As of today, I am pursuing Information Technology and hoping to focus more on the cybersecurity aspect of computers, working in threat mitigation at the NSA. I am glad Lucid clutched up with this video to refresh my mind on what I have in store for the future

As salamu alikum, Lucid thank you for this vid, i just finished my freshmen year and im entering into my sophmore year and everything you said in this video was facts. In the begining of the school year, i was a class bum, i would get in trouble all the time trying to make people laugh and trying to be cool. I would get sent down to the office all the time and the princpal told me i was on my last strike and all of that stuff. My parents were very disapointed in me for all of these things. I woud not try in class and would get average grades. I would also do alot of sins like backbiting, cussing, listening to music, lying, and all of that stuff. In the second semester, everything really dawned upon me. None of these kids care about me, they actually despise me and i was doing all of these things for nothing. I was not gaining from any of this stuff. So i decided to stop being a class bum and actually be an actual person. It really took some time to adjust and stuff but it was all worth it. I stopped backbiting and if anyone was backbiting with me i would stop them and preach against it. I stopped cussing, i stopped listening to music and i stopped lying. I started to focus on my work and school and i really locked in. The teachers and the Princpal really noticed this change and occasionally they would say" wow you really have changed and stuff" and of course i would slip up sometimes but that was rarely. I started making my parents proud of me and not worried all the time that one day i would get expelled. I started being more quiet and more religious. Wallah what i can say is that was the best thing i could've done. Instead of seeking the validation of others and making Allah and my parents disappointed and not satisfied with me, I started seeking the validation from Allah and my parents. Wallah this is the best thing you can do. I just want to say Lucid i wish i saw this video in the start of my Freshmen Year but alhamdulilah I saw it now and with my past experience, InshaAllah my upcoming years will be successful. To anyone reading this, stop seeking validation from others that wont benefit you but seek the validation from Allah . You can never loose in life when you have the satisfaction and validation of Allah. Live your life for the sake of Allah and see how your life changes. Thank you Lucid for this video and i hope InshaAllah this gets to everyone highschooler and help them reliaze the truth.

what i can tell to the people who are just starting high school or are currently in high school as a next year senior, the move of being yourself no matter what somebody may say is the truest thing somebody may say. i can say for myself its the most useful thing. during highschool, matter fact late middle school, the way somebody may heavily impact you or the culture around you or the need to follow to be relevant is the worst way of seeing yourself, because is that really yourself? during that, i followed the things that i loved, the way that i am, even if it meant being that kid who had spoken to anybody. now that i pushed myself to become that person, people will have to accept that you will be you and you arent a copy and paste of everybody else, whether its interests or anything. its always true to be you. and thats a fact.

although i agree with some of the things in this video, it should be noted that the purpose of high school is to be social and learn how to learn. The specific stuff you learn in high school may not matter for your career, but I think that you should still try as hard as possible in high school because the main takeaway from high school should be HOW you learn, study, be successful in general and whatever you pursue because that’s what really matters in life

I'm actually in high school and a quiet kid and don't really care about popularity so it's funny how accurate this is

10:47 this. I feel that I could be so much more mentally mature if it wasn't for school and societal expectations.

I’ve pretty much become more of a quiet kid at school even though I was kind of faking my personality and made a fool of myself, but I still got lots of friends in high school and talk to a lot of girls despite going to an all-boys school. Just be a good guy who is real and people will like you. I wanna do music and drive race cars but my dad wants me to do more stuff so I’m more rich even though I’ll have enough money from inheritance when I need to use it. I also apparently have to go to college but I’m not completely sure.
