This is one of the best introductions to the kick I have seen on youtube yet... great info here. The stretches are amazing just for everyday life as well. Great video.
I can't thank you enough for videos like this. You made one like this a year ago too that I follow. I'm almost 40 and been removed from striking for about 15 years. Tried just hitting the bag and I have zero flexibility compared to what I used to. Videos like this are really helpful to me.
love it man im so hip closed i cant high kick 😢 im always looking how to open my hips …some people in my gym can middle kick better than me after 1/2 sessions im 1 year in and still my kicks suck…..thank you
Hey champ, another great video ! I have followed along another of your leg flexibility drill for half month and already i find my leg flexibility been level up a lot . Will keep on doing it !❤
That was amazing! I've lacked flexibility in so many areas - hip mobility is just one which I think may have contributed to knee pain I've had more than squats or dead lifts. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
This was super helpful thank you. I was just starting to focus on flexibility and thought your channel must have resources for this kind of thing! I followed one of your older guides last night, and saw you posted this one today! Thank you for the guide!
Thank you Gabriel for this fantastic vid!! 🏆❤️🔥 I needed this detailed instruction on better kicks!!! 🙏🏻 I have always loved stretching and have kept alot of my flexibility even at 55! This past year I've been learning Muay Thai and Dutch Kickboxing and see my weakness in kicking! I love striking, throwing knees and teeps but having those strong kicks with control AND balance in my arsenal, all the more better! 💯🔥 I'm committed to doing these exercises 3x a week!!! 💪🏻😎🙌🏻🙌🏻
These videos are great! I have been training your previous program and it has helped me to imrove my side and roundkick. Great to have this probram to work also the muscles for front kick. Would you consibere making one program only for front kicks?
Thanks! I've been struggling to get my right kicks as quick and powerful as my lead. (right handed, but left footed) Frustrating because I train it twice as much, but half as fluid. This might do the trick!
I am doing similar 15 mins daily routine before my training for third month now, it really does work guys. Today i even noticed that when im walking, i start to feel my hip muscles are different, i reminded me the feeling i had after 2 months of squating when i started excercise after i quit my office job 10y ago, you feel there is something different
I am doing martial arts and especially kickboxing now over a decade. Coming original from soccer I had a massive problem with my flexibility even ending up with a minor disc prolaps a few years ago. I was searching for the general cause of my stiff flexibility because stretching wouldnt really help. At some point I gave up of the dream to headkick. I specialized in front kicks and spinning back kicks, but still unsatisfying as a black belt to not be able to kick high. I will try this workout for a month: Lets see if that helps a bit at least
Is this a updated video on your older one thats called "Do This Routine Often To Improve Your High Kicks"? Or is this the more advanced verison you can do after you start to get relatively good with the other vid? :) Both good videos, but not sure which one i should start with!
Is there a limit to how many times a week should we do this workout? Also, if I do this 2 times a week, is there anything else I should be doing for the other 5 days?
As someone who struggles with hip motion/flexibility. Videos like this are really helpful. That way I can see and feel where I’m struggling the most
Man this video is spot on what I needed. I've been struggling with stretching and raising my legs for months
Thanks for your exercises!

This very similar to Bill Wallace's method for his amazing lead leg kick, everything old becomes new. Much love brother!

Best coach ever
This one is excellent- have some challenges with these and the shorter length makes it actually doable more consistently
This video is pure gold. Thanks man.

Just what I needed! lol
Very helpful
Can you please do a bag kicking workout ?
Thanks 👍
Howdy coach do you ever do shikko (sumo stomps)?
I been doing that other exercise lifting the one leg
kept bent and lifting the ball of your opposite foot.
I am watching this before my match 💀
Slowly getting better from being sick this was great as it wasn't super intense and I could burn some calories
After doing this I'm definitely getting better at balancing

You are a true chad
Can we get the JCVD kicking workout version 3 please?
Do you recommend doing this before training or on a different day? I train Kickboxing twice a week. (And other sports 3 to 4 times a week)
Is there a limit to how many times a week should we do this workout? Also, if I do this 2 times a week, is there anything else I should be doing for the other 5 days?
This is exactly the stuff they used to terrorize us with in karate practice. It's nasty, but it really works.
Nice
i don't know why i'm watching this. i don't fight and i can't even touch my toes with my legs straight
💪💪💪
Go champ! 🤜😁🤛
💪🏼✨
My hips...🥴
Your heels weren’t actually higher than your toes with this run through
Man are your feet ok? Maybe it's just the video but they look beat up.
Bro,can you even fight?
Exell.entt training. With respect Roman Teplov ("Carl").
