Wow, this brought back memories! The foghorn leghorn height check signs, the Batman stunt show, and those water slides they built next to Batman ride. And the Batman ride just opened that summer, lines were hours long. And while the scream machine wasn't the best coaster, it was iconic. It was the first ride you saw from the parking lot and scared me as a kid.
Looks weird without Medusa, Nitro, Superman, Kingda Ka and El Toro, in which Medusa built 6 years later, Nitro built 8 years later, Superman built 10 years later, Kingda Ka built 12 years later, and El Toro built 13 years later. RIP GASM (1989-2010) to make room for Green Lantern in 2011 and RIP Rolling Thunder (1979-2013)
honestly, the strangest part of watching this video, me being born in the mid 1990s is seeing Scream Machine with a line. I rode it may times before it got the ax, park could be packed to the brim, no line on Scream Machine.
18:34 imagine-$3 for a hotdog was considered expensive in 1993. That same hotdog today would run you almost $10. $3 hotdogs today would be an absolute steal. Gotta love inflation. 😬
Amazing Footage. I remember it all. Great times. Thank You

This year (1993) was the first time I went to GA since 1981. I was 15.

I used to work at GA in the 90's. I miss these days! This really took me back!!!
I miss the Great American Scream Machine
What took ya back, watching this, were film stores, and no one had cell phones, and the food prices were so cheap.

there is a solid chance i was there that day! hah i used to go there every single weekend back around that time

Batmans lift sounded alot different than it does today
Wow. I had completely forgotten about B.U.M. Equipment clothing.
I wish someone had more videos like this of the park back in 2001 when they had that Zamperla Turbo Force
Head off to 4:05 for Batman: The Ride!
