I got a 12V pc fan that has this exact 4-pin PWM female socket. My pc motherboard doesn't have its female socket and there are only 4-pin male sockets in SMPS to connect harddisks. What socket or device or connector or cable I need to connect 4-pin PWM to that? Does SMPS 4-pin male socket deliver 12V?
Some fans don't like it. For example fan_A @ 12v is 100% speed Fan_A @ 6v is 50% speed Fan_A @ 2v may not run at all. In short pwm fans more controllability- lower fan speed is possible 3 pin fans vary
@@alexjaxon9928 Ya I did some research. It's not just that it won't run, if it's stalled either with say a pen or because the volatage is too low, all the energy gets released as heat putting wear on the motor.
Watched more than hundred videos to understand what is three pin and four pin on DC motors... This is so far the best and easy to understand explanation... Thanks a lot
Your tellin me the 3 pin has 3 wires and the 4 pin has 4 wires? No way.
hey I never knew about this 3pin 4pin :D but this video helped me :D
yes way
🤯
Announcer: "...is the [ fan ] connector pin" *draws circle around rgb header*
calling people noobs for not knowing the difference ... proceeds to compare a 3 pin fan header and an rgb header lmao
why is the reducing voltage when recuing fan speed an issue with 3 pin fans?

Is this made by ChatGPT?
Why is reducing the voltage not desirable?

Hi motherboard b460 mortar wifi . Can we connect two 12 volts in series to the sys fan inlet?
It's really difficult for me to digest the Voltage power and the rpm speed, put together.
Thank you for this video! I’m building my first PC this weekend and I was confuse with the 3/4 pins🙏🏿
perfect explanation
hmm i didn´t know that there were computers in common use 150 years ago..but ty for that info.
Very Excellent !
I thought that plugging only the 3 pin for ARGB fans powers the fan itself to make them spin but it doesn't so I plugged in the 4pin lol.

stop using AI please. Have a bit of respect to your viewers
great damn job man great damn job. wowsa😮
1 pin
Good video
Very confusing...
I ... think ... I think I will buy a fan.
*buys for 500$ of rgb puke fans*
😅😅😊
😮
Love you 😙
