I got into em about the same age. The solitaire unraveling video was on a ps2 demo disc. I saved some money and bought the album shortly after. Still love that shit.
Not now they dont, no founding members, its a glorified tribute band. I watched them with all founding members over 20 times, band now is a joke and a shell of what they once were.
Superbuick and M3 was the bands highest peak. No joke, their instruments and all lyrics were all so good and mesmerizing. Even Schmotz had some more keys to do in those 2 albums than the other one. Don't get me wrong, Savior Sorrow, BSFUC and TR&TB are super good, but not really that compared to this album and neither to Superbuick. I really like Beautiful Stories more than Savior Sorrow actually. M3 is still my favorite MRH album.
After being caught with an ounce and a half of pure cocaine I ended up running from the court room and went on the run, I was in a bad place back then, made it to Ireland, Amsterdam and eventually in Ghana.. This Album actually kept me alive and the whole disaster I was in made me a better man.. The real Mushroomhead will always be the finest.. I did get caught 9 months later but they lost the evidence and their 1 only witness refused to attend court so I got away, fuck coke, fuck mistakes, Mushroomhead made my lowest point my higher than the shite I was taking then.. Thanks for uploading.. :)
Great album, like an industrial FNM, needless to say Mike Paton was a big inspiration for J-Mann in the early days before fully developing his own sound.
+Thomas Dall I miss the Faith No More influenced synths in their albums. Have you checked out Jmann's short lived band "The Alter Boys and their album The Exotic Sound of The Alter Boys"? Its definitely Mike Patton:Mr Bungle inspired .
I wonder if Mushroomhead perpetrated the Dark and Evil Joe track, or if it was something they got wind of and put on the album. Either way, I found it quite amusing to listen to.
The prank call was done by Mike Martini, Mike is the guitarist in J Mann's other bands Unified Culture and The Alter Boys. Joe had an ad looking for a guitarist and Mike called him to fuck with him.

Slipknot and Mushroomhead are two completely different walks of life. Don’t get it twisted you tubers.

Yep and that friend is Mike Martini and he happens to be the guitarist in a few J Mann related bands like Unified Culture and The Alter Boys.
