At 18:25 Ray says pseudo doppler has < 1/4 wavelength between antennas, but I think the right number is < 1/2 wavelength. We try to use 1/3rd wavelength to get a good amplitude signal without exceeding the maximum distance. I hope we're right about that. 🙂
Mutual impedance between the antennas causes an increased phase shift over free space that makes the optimum spacing less than 1/2 wavelength. 1/4 wavelength is generally considered the optimum.
