to be completely fair; jeongyeons lines in signal were really memorable and suited her voice, the one who got done dirty that era was dahyun imo. she only had the ‘trying to let you know, signal boneu’ and the ‘jjirit-jjirit’ part. but i do agree that jeongyeon overall needs better lines. also, i was like; ‘oh momo’s lines are not THAT bad’ and the. she got 5 songs in a row. 😭
When it's a song like Like Ooh Ah or More and More where she got a dance break moment, it's understandable because she got her time to shine differently (she IS the main dancer) but like, Feel Special and Alcohol Free, poor Momo

Jeongyeon because she is literally treated like a sub vocalist, Dahyun because she barely gets real singing lines in title tracks and Tzuyu because she always feels like an afterthought, Tzuyu rarely get parts that stand out to me, its always a prechorus with two extra lines thrown in. Chaeyoung used to be in this group, but as of recently she is finally being treated right on both title tracks and bsides.

He did an interview/video explaining his process of assigning what members to what parts, and what makes the "Twice sound", where he only credited Nayeon and Jihyo as "main vocalists". In every single video clip where he's with the members, Jeongyeon also looks really uncomfortable and closed off, which is the polar opposite from how she normally interacts with all their staff, leaders, co-workers, etc. :/ So Jeongyeon is given the bare minimum (and sometimes not even that, since there's multiple other songs in which she has the least lines, despite her official position) solely because some asshat doesn't like her and her talented voice. I can't say if he still works with them though.. The video/interview received a whole lot of negative backlash from Onces pointing out the mistreatment of Jeongyeon, so I don't know if Jyp changed his position. I just know the video came out during Jeongs hiatus.

If Twice songs had more rap parts (like Stray Kids songs, for example), Chaeyoung, Dahyun and Momo would have more lines. Momo has one of the most unique voices in Kpop, you can spot it from across a room filled with people, so even if there's less lines for her, they're always iconic.

I know! I think some onces need to realize that Momo having the least amount of lines isnt a bad thing. I always wonder when jyp will give Momo, Dahyun and Chaeyoung more challening raps. It's true, TWICE are a vocal focused group, but people still think the rap line of this group is weak, when actually isn't, but they have to manage that, at this point of their career. In the past years 2016-2018 Momo barely had any rap lines (and that's why people forget she is a rapper and don't a vocalist), and in the last album (formula of love) Dahyun hadn't any rap part in the bsides.. Chaeyoung only got "Icon" and "Hello" (with Momo), that's all.
Twice are one of the biggest girl groups on the entire planet... obviously what they are doing works, and works very well. Why would you mess with it and start giving the best singers the least lines? It would not be good for their career, at all.
I replayed the "You got a crush on me, you gonna fall for me!" part in Scientist an unhealthy amount of times, so it was really hard to believe that Dahyun had the least lines, lol.
This video makes me want another rap-centric comeback from Twice, sort of like what they did with Signal. Chaeyoung, Dahyun and Momo are good rappers but they so rarely get the chance to show it in title tracks. With their more mature image, I can image a rap chorus alternating between Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Momo, with main dancer Momo getting a centre dance break during the bridge or at the end. Plus, as someone whose ultimate bias is Jeongyeon, this just makes me angry. JYP, you gave her the position of a lead vocalist so treat her like one! The amount of lines she has considering her vocal talent and flavour is sad enough but when you compare her lines with what Nayeon (the other lead vocalist) gets, it just becomes depressing. From debut to 2018, people justified Jeongyeon's lack of lines saying she 'didn't match the cute concept as well as the other members'. Yet, since their concept change in 2019, nothing has changed. Jeongyeon keeps getting treated like a sub-vocalist even though (in my opinion) she is main vocalist material. I understand that fairly distributing lines to 9 members would be difficult but if you're going to give a member a position like lead vocalist, the least the company and management can do is freaking treat them like one.
Momo’s parts in Like Ooh Ahh is so polarizing. She sounded similar to Sana and Mina during that beautiful part where they all sing together. I confused all three when I first heard that song.
Momo gets a few lines because she has to save her energy for dancing but her lines often become really iconic, and Jype should take better care of jeongyeon she is the lead vocalist but gets a few lines

The thing I notice in Twice is that every member usually gets a fair amount of screen time or gets a memorable part even if they don't have that many lines. I feel like Momo would prefer not to have as many lines, because of the hate she gets, and how she was during the encore stage but I'm not sure

But Jeongyeon being last is unforgivable, because leaving her last despite being a lead vocalist only shows how much jyp hates her, for no apparent reason :( it makes me very sad and angry, especially because she is my bias and deserves many more lines of which they give :/

I didn’t see many people point this out, but although Momo tends to have less lines in some songs, she also tends to have the center for the dance sections. Just saying, there’s a reason she is still a very popular member even tho she gets the least amount of lines from time to time…🤷♀️ btw she’s one of my Twice bias owo I don’t have any complains imo but maybe other Momo stans would disagreed
I know! I think some onces need to realize that Momo having the least amount of lines isnt a bad thing. She’s honestly the best dancer in twice, and the amount of dance breaks she gets definitely makes up for her lack of lines. I just wish onces would start seeing Momo’s strengths instead of focusing on what she doesnt have. Don’t get me wrong, she’s an amazing vocalist, but I just feel like we’re taking her dance breaks for granted.

The fact that the main rappers and one of the main singers sometimes get less lines than the main dancer is beyond me. And I mean Momo doesn't even need lines to shine. Bc jyp highlightes her dancing so much that some eras are considered as "hers" even tho she has almost no lines
The best thing about this video is seeing how their music has evolved and changed from album to album. They haven't stagnated which is something given their longevity and all.

Nako gets a decent amount tho, and she has songs where she shines like Hey Bae Like It, Ayayaya, Slow Journey, etc. Hyewon on the other hand was last in almost every single song.

I always wonder when jyp will give Momo, Dahyun and Chaeyoung more challening raps.
It's true, TWICE are a vocal focused group, but people still think the rap line of this group is weak, when actually isn't, but they have to manage that, at this point of their career.
In the past years 2016-2018 Momo barely had any rap lines (and that's why people forget she is a rapper and don't a vocalist), and in the last album (formula of love) Dahyun hadn't any rap part in the bsides..
Chaeyoung only got "Icon" and "Hello" (with Momo), that's all.

Twice are one of the biggest girl groups on the entire planet... obviously what they are doing works, and works very well. Why would you mess with it and start giving the best singers the least lines? It would not be good for their career, at all.
I replayed the "You got a crush on me, you gonna fall for me!" part in Scientist an unhealthy amount of times, so it was really hard to believe that Dahyun had the least lines, lol.
This video makes me want another rap-centric comeback from Twice, sort of like what they did with Signal. Chaeyoung, Dahyun and Momo are good rappers but they so rarely get the chance to show it in title tracks. With their more mature image, I can image a rap chorus alternating between Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Momo, with main dancer Momo getting a centre dance break during the bridge or at the end.
Plus, as someone whose ultimate bias is Jeongyeon, this just makes me angry. JYP, you gave her the position of a lead vocalist so treat her like one! The amount of lines she has considering her vocal talent and flavour is sad enough but when you compare her lines with what Nayeon (the other lead vocalist) gets, it just becomes depressing.
From debut to 2018, people justified Jeongyeon's lack of lines saying she 'didn't match the cute concept as well as the other members'. Yet, since their concept change in 2019, nothing has changed. Jeongyeon keeps getting treated like a sub-vocalist even though (in my opinion) she is main vocalist material. I understand that fairly distributing lines to 9 members would be difficult but if you're going to give a member a position like lead vocalist, the least the company and management can do is freaking treat them like one.

The thing I notice in Twice is that every member usually gets a fair amount of screen time or gets a memorable part even if they don't have that many lines. I could have sworn Dahyun had more lines in Scientist since her part stuck out so much to me, same with Momo in Feel Special and Chae in Likey.
