Immediately brought to mind the scene from Storm Of The Century, where the silver wolfs head on the cane of Andre Linoge, played by Coln Feore, comes to life an growls and snarls.
I remember seeing this bit on TV in the 1980s. That was the first time I had ever seen Dark Shadows! Barnabas was more of a villain, in those early stories, and I wasn't sure if I liked him or not. It's nice to be able to watch this again! Thanks so much for posting this! ~Janet in Canada
The very first meeting (followed by 100+ more) between my favorite Dark Shadows leading man (Jonathan Frid) and leading lady (Kathryn Leigh Scott) begins 😍🤩
Jonathan Frid seems so relaxed and suave in these earlier episodes as Barnabas. Compared to his demeanor near the end of the series, when he appeared rather fraught and tense. I think by that time he was getting a little weary of playing the character.

I don't think the first Willie could have done as good of job as this Willie, obedient and subservant, very good acting.
Sorry but james hall would have been a terric willie if given the chance,he was getting more comfortable with each episode.
@@richardmadison6312 I would have been very interested in seeing how he did this part of the story. Alas, we will never know.
I didn't like the first Willie. John Karlen's conception of Willie before and after Barnabas attack was far superior IMHO.

Barnabas has discovered his Maggie(Josette) the spine tingling scenes have only begun.

This is the episode where I fell in love with Maggie 🥰. So cute. So sweet. So lovely. Maggie, would you mind getting me a cup of coffee? 😂
Katherine Leigh Scott said this was one of her favorite scenes to act.
Poor Willie and poor Maggie.
Wellie brought it up on him self on the other hand Maggie is a victim to be here
😢 it's going to be horrible for Willie and Maggie.
@h.l.asolomonov7674 true. Although he probably didn't deserve THAT horror. Except trying to rob a grave is a very low act.

Notice how Maggie touched her neck at 17:25, was that a feeling she got after Barnabas kissed her hand?
I was wondering the same. It was very good acting imho.
Oh I'll send Mrs. Johnson over I love it she would make a nice meal
Runny eggs.
Of course, heavy lifting would do wonders for her back.
😂

...she would make a nice meal...is she...0+, 0- or AB+?
Very Soon my favorite chacter will be in the show. Motorcyclist Buzz Hacket.
Buzz is totally cool, man!
