Any thoughts on Be4 on move 23 (18:36) or thereabouts? Seems like an active square that might potentially provoke some concessions? I'm guessing it's a patzer type move that looks superficially attractive but doesn't really accomplish anything after f3, but I figured I'd ask :)
+styx85 A move like 23...Be4 is certainly possible. I'm not sure how big a weakness f2-f3 is, but considering how non-forcing the play is I think it might be worth a try.
Hey John! If you start with 1. e4 (you said you wants to play this move more often!), which move do you prefer your opponent responds? e5, c5, e6 or c6? :-)
I've been trying to get into the Caro, so I very much appreciate this one :) Thanks John!!
+Fabrice Leal Sure thing, Fabrice!

+ThinkingSk3ptically Or maybe the Scandinavian, even. ;-)
+ThinkingSk3ptically Hey ThinkingSk3ptically! I think I'd prefer to play against 1...e5 or 1...c6.
I wish I play with you someday, but you don't accept my challenge on chess.com
