The Beatles should have been on the list 20 times and thats only their number one's
You do realize that only one or two of these songs were directly from a movie. They were songs from the 60's so 95% or more were just songs on the radio or on your records at home! Trying to equate them with which movie they came from is sort of pointless. Music stood on its own back then! Didn't need movies to remind you where they came from. Only real life situations and memories of places and people that you knew at the time.
I now them all.... I,m so happy that I was born in 64. And see and hear the music 60, 70, 80. Best music years ever.
Sweet Caroline was written by Neil Diamond and later recorded by Elivis
63% i love the 60s but also the 70s and 80s and all that and i’m a 19 year old collage student
Soon if it weren't for movies, which ones did you know?
Nancy Sinatra is Frank Sinatra's daughter.
Present from England! 🇬🇧
Austin Brown from an Acapella group (Home Free) did an amazing cover of Unchained Melody 🤗❤
The kid from Richie Rich is also Macaulay Culkin as well as My Girl
You should watch every song that you said no to. And then watch the ones you recognized from a movie.
GB, This aint the 100 greatest songs of the 60's, its Redlists top 100 most viewed from the 60's on there platform but still some great songs there.
Off the 100 songs, I knew 91 of them.
You did well identifying songs that we before your time, but I have a big problem with the title of "100 greatest 60's music". It is completely inaccurate on what was popular in the 60's. It should be titled popular songs in 2020's that were released in the 60's". Which is a very different list than the greatest songs in the 60's. As someone else mentioned, the Beatles would have 20 songs on that list and Led Zepplin would not show up until the 70's. It is just not an accurate reflection on the history of 60's music history.
Hi Mike, I get your point, but that's the original title of the video I'm reacting to
I also felt they could have added other iconic songs, but they missed it!
@@TeacherPaulReacts I figured that was the case, ie, that the video was named that. My point is as a teacher you should point out your sources and the possible limitations in the material. I wouldn't be pointing this out if it wasn't for the fact that the songs are so far off on what was popular back in the 60's.
What! no Supremes
so i wasn't keeping count idk alot of these, but i was shocked i knew people are strange and you didn't,
given you know alot more of them then me,
but i know of that song because of the movie the lost boys starts off with that song it's a cover in the movie but yeah.
Ahhh, but I don't know a lot, lol
😂
So good music 😍 creedence clearwater revival is my favorite band 🥰! And all these songs makes me think movie blues brothers 😂
Weirdest top 100 songs of the 60's I've ever seen. Many songs that should have been there weren't. Many that were there shouldn't have been. Many Elvis songs as well as a few others were actually from the 50's. Some were from the early 70's. The versions used ( Dylan's Mr. Tambourine Man) were hits by other people. Should have at least 7 or 8 other Beatles songs ( Where was Yesterday- recorded by 2,000+ other artists!!)...Some great songs no doubt, but an odd list nevertheless.
All the Elvis entries were from the 60s.
Top 2 are actually pretty similar in a way...
Australia present. Nineteen songs I didn't know.
Germany present 😊 ..excited
"You'll never walk alone"... THE football hymn 😎 thought you would know that, wasnt it from Manchester United? 🤔. And how could you miss "Nights in white satin" 😯, maybe you didnt recognize?
I didnt know 16songs, i dont know why i knew so many :D, guess its because they are classics!
The fans sing "You'll never walk alone" when Liverpool Football team play, not Manchester United.
Bobby magee is 70
There were 8 songs I had never heard before
What! no Supremes.
