Would you consider releasing a pro-shot version of this for those of us who sadly live incredibly far away and can't afford to go to Dallas. I know of hundreds of people who would love to see a DVD of this, because the modern take is so special and something we've never really seen before, and from what I've seen of this production so far, it really is something that should be kept for the future.
there are so many people who can't see this production live and are probably dying to see it, a DVD should definitely be made of this production!! please consider recording it, i'm sure lots of people would buy it
It would be so amazing if a DVD could be made of this production - living in the UK I would love to see it and a DVD would be the only way for me! Please consider recording it! :D
I'd love to see this production of Les Mis, but I live in Poland, so the only way that would be possible is if you released a DVD. Please consider recording this production!
I would love to see this! Sadly I live too far away and cannot afford it :( I would be monumentally happy if it was recorded professionally! Even if it was an itunes download instead of a DVD, it would be the greatest thing, please consider this!!!
I would love to see this production but I live in Florida, and I can't afford to just take a trip to Dallas just to see Les Mis. If you recorded and released a DVD, or a digital download for purchase, I would definitely be interested! So many of my fellow fans that are far away feel the same. Please consider having it professionally shot and sold!
Guys, this was so unbelievably amazing. The Lovely Ladies scene was pretty intense, I will admit, but it made that scene 120% better. There was not one problem I had with the show, and it was soooo much better with the change. I saw it today, and plan on going back already. Great job to everyone apart of it!
this production seems so amazing and i wish i was able to come out and see it in person, but unfortunately i can't. it would be really great if you considered making a proshot of this show and i know many people including myself would jump at the chance to buy it. thank you so much for just applying les mis to the modern day in the first place. break a leg to everyone in the cast :)
Please consider professionally recording this production as I'm sure it'll go down in history and set a precedent for more productions of Les Mis to come!
I really, really want them to make a recording of this, because I would love to see them. Only I can't see them, because I'm living across the ocean. :(
It seems to me it's hard to do anything much with the character of Cosette, but from that brief clip, I think I'll like this characterization more than any other I've seen. This looks very cool, all in all.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments! Unfortunately, licensing agreements prohibit us from recording the production for consumer distribution. We do have some wonderful clips of the show available, though. Check back here on our RUclips Channel later this week or head over to the post on www.Playbill.com. And be sure to keep your thoughts coming. We love hearing what you have to say.
Fantastic production. We've seen Les Mis several times in various venues and loved them all, but we liked this modern staging best of all. I was skeptical about how an expansive show like Les Mis could be produced in the relatively small Wyly Theater but removing seats and creating the large, low stage made it work great. It took me several minutes to accept the modern costumes and setting. While the emotions of the show are timeless, I had never imagined that the actual words could be set in the here and now. Not only did it work, but now the standard productions will seem like the ones that are set wrong. I hope this version does get produced widely.
Do you ever think that you have a favourite Cosette in Judy Kuhn, then Emilie Fleming comes along and you develop a huge crush on her, and then this girl. Dorcas Leung, I think she's called. Yes. I have a crush on her.
Is there any chance at all you could make a DVD of this? There are hundreds of us who are so excited about this production but live too far away to be able to see it, and who would weep with joy at getting a proper recording of it.
Soooo. If you guys would ever do an European tour... Please please please include the Netherlands because I by far don't have enough money to go to Dallas and I'm DYING to see this!
It was interesting in some ways, but the dynamics of the parts and the show were less than I am use to in Les Mis. The vocal performances and acting were very good to excellent, but the deaths of Enjolras and Gavroche just didn't have the punch they usually do because of the way the barricade and staging was done. However, the transition from Turning to Empty Chairs was excellent...More power in the ending of that song than I am use to. Least interesting performances to me (although still very good technically) were Marius and Cosette (older). Nothing really stood out good or bad, but the chemistry to me just wasn't really there. Playing it in whatever time period they were looking for was just confusing, so the dynamic they could have gotten from those very good performances were lost. Finally, the graphic nature of the Lovely Ladies scene was just completely unnecessary. We all know what's going on, we really don't need it played out the way it was. So, basically for me...Keep the performances, the staging, lose the unnecessary, and put it back in 1815.
The cast was great, but I wasn't a fan on the modern take. It just didn't feel right. Other than that, no complaints. I also loved the diversity of the cast.

I'd love to see this production of Les Mis, but I live in Poland, so the only way that would be possible is if you released a DVD. Please consider recording this production!
I've been crying over just the summaries of this production, and I really, really want to see the actual show. Consider making a DVD?

I really, really want them to make a recording of this, because I would love to see them. Only I can't see them, because I'm living across the ocean. :(
I'd pay a lot for a full recording of this
This is such an incredible new take on the old story - will you be able to film it, maybe, so we can keep it forever?
It seems to me it's hard to do anything much with the character of Cosette, but from that brief clip, I think I'll like this characterization more than any other I've seen. This looks very cool, all in all.

Yes.
I have a crush on her.
Well, time to spend all the money I've ever saved to go to Dallas, and see this production.
Is there any chance at all you could make a DVD of this? There are hundreds of us who are so excited about this production but live too far away to be able to see it, and who would weep with joy at getting a proper recording of it.
Les Misérables Highlights at Dallas Theater Center

are you going to be filming? because it looks amazing and I'd love to watch it, and living in another state makes it kinda difficult.
Please, for the love of all that is good, sell recordings of this show. Don't let this be a once-and-done experience.
