    How does it affect performance? fuel consumption?

    I do like the old writing style on the valve covers more, these look a bit „handwritten“

      Thanks for the feedback. The idea with the “handwritings” was to reflect these engines being hand built

    I was always told not to idle below 2000? Is that ok now?

      Read the Rotax Operators Manual Fred. It calls for idle not below 1400rpm. Stop listening to the forum mechanics 😉

      @@EdgePerformanceNorway my aircraft factory and affiliated flight school told me that. Question is why is there this difference in instructions? Maybe its just to increase gearbox life and not that it can't be done? Thanks

      @@frednorthup1657 with carbs we typically adjust idle to 1600. With efi 1500-1550 is typically a rpm range where they idle smoothly.

      @@EdgePerformanceNorway that's what the lo accpump adjustment is for. High high can we run the rpm?

      @@EdgePerformanceNorway Correct. But then you will hear the gearbox rattle a little. I'll keep mine at just under 2000 with the throttle to prevent that. But it idles at 1500 just fine.

    I was thinking about ways to make all that junk smaller but eff that. Why don't you make an equivalent thrust turbofan jet engine instead? really think about it. It would be maybe 5-10kg, small and simple. Turbo is built in, no ugly piping and junk. Works at high altitude and speed, light and small enough to be placed at the rear of a small plane for smooth quiet flight. Drop everything and just effing do it. We need revolution in aviation.
