Couldn't wait until Saturday morning and during the week when I got in from school to watch Fat Albert and the Cosby kids. I learned a lot and with the music of that time was just another acception to the rule of how black kids could be educated watching a cartoon with great theme music 🎵🎶🎶 to bob ya head too 4ReAL!
@@ElleBrOw Yeah that's true also but Fat Albert was shown during the weekdays also. From September 9th 1972 till August 10th 1985 on CBS. The cartoon only went to Saturday mornings when the reruns started in 89' on the USA network. You could see the cartoon from 72 to 85 during the week though.

@@sugadeeification I agreed too. Just reading the actual fact you listed I know it came from somewhere. I know I don’t recall the exact day the cartoon made it’s debut 🤣
It was nothing like eating a bowl of Cocoa Puffs while looking at Fat Albert and The Cosby Kids before you watched Soul Train, and going outside to play.
Wow I have to work this Saturday, and found this here. I couldn't imagine as a kid that I would be listening to this 55 years later at work. Such memories of Saturday mornings. Yes, eating a bowl of cereal and then going out in the sun to play all day.
That's really cool that they have a soundtrack for the original Fat Albert show. The guy who sang the songs from the show and who's pictured on the back of the album cover is Mike Gray. He was a Broadway actor who sang gospel music and other stuff, and he did a great job of singing the songs from the show. Sadly, he passed away from a heart attack in 1988. Considering how great his singing was was, he should have done a whole lot more. RIP Mike Gray...
This where I came to stay I don't hear about farty b or no Nicki whoraj or nothing stupid. This is where I put myself into this place. Thank you Philly's zone reel black and fat Albert.
If you gave this a thumbs down, you didn't learn a thing or two from Bill while not having any fun with Albert and the gang!!!!! Saturday mornings in the 70s/80s was awesome!
6:05 This reminds me back when I was a kid when I and my family and had to move I cried a lot because I would miss my school friends I wasn't much of a talker when I and my siblings played outside with their friends I wasn't good at communicating with them because of my autism disability and I couldn't express my words to anyone except my family and my teachers. Gosh, I miss those days 😢
I wish there were clips of the background music that was played during the dialogue of the show. There was this one tune with an organ lead that I liked in particular.
Their other Episode Songs like "Whole lot of Fish in the Sea", "Listen", "Suede Simpson", and "Dope is for Dopes" should've been in this Album... Why didn't they make a Vol.2, and included the rest of the Songs that wasn't in this one😭🤦♂️But Underrated Album tho❤
LOL! Shhhiiid. Don't feel sorry for us. We actually had a REAL child's life! You couldn't pay us to be in the house watching TV after cartoons and Soul Train went off.
