Nope. He was born in america. He came to Aus when he was in his teens. he would have had a yank accent then. It changed slightly aussie in his early films, but he used to go back and forth between the two accents. You DO know he is American right?
You can tell his Australian accent is his genuine one. At the age he was when he moved to Australia, he would have easily adopted said accent. Listen to both accents and tell me which sounds more natural on him.
