Actually, I know that the Greasers are very accurate to their time. Greasers were commonly Latino! Obviously the show isn’t going to be 100% accurate to it’s time because that’s not it’s goal. They just wanted to be more inclusive. I guess it’s just not the show to watch if you want something historically accurate
Just watched a video on how bad the show was and it’s complete removal from Paramount. Now this shows up in my shorts. Too bad the 30 fans from here couldn’t save it
It would’ve been better for Rydell high school to experience societal change in a contemporary manner. Using today’s racial and ethnic caricatures as if they fit into a past societal era just doesn’t work. Rydell High School should have been brought into the 21st-century welcoming in the new racial and ethnic caricatures in today’s Digital Era Eclipsing the past era, with caricatures of today’s era to blend in with the past era, will give a false sense of reality. You can’t white wash out the experience of America. If you think you can, please tell the story of slavery with an entirely white cast. Maybe make that an entirely a Hispanic white cast with zero Hispanic Black (Caribbean) representation. Let’s see how that flies.
So in 5 years before the film frenchy turned from.half cast to white all blacks and Chinese have all gone from school and every one could sing and dance and the outfits wasn't from the 50s
