In an interview with zach sang she said that she wants to make music like this, she actually talked about it a lot. She said that she just wants to make music that is fun and you can dance to and doesn't think there's anything wrong with that. She added that if she wants to make a deeper song then she'll obviously do it but is content with this.

She has so much talent and it’s wasted bc of the ppl working with her. This is so male gaze-y like it’s not even sexy or sensual it’s just uncomfortable and you can clearly see it’s not her and it’s not stuff she would usually do. They love to say this is ‘empowering’ when it’s just feeding into the male gaze and the patriarchy even more. Loren is obviously a young woman now and this is in no way an attack to her. I just genuinely know she has so much potential and a great voice but she’s just being exploited by the ppl around her.
I agree and it's so sad. Like I understand wanting to be more mature and sexy-like but whoever directed and choreographed this have her being too provocative. Like it prevents you from rlly focusing on the meaning of the song. The video makes her song seem like a sex song, which I am sure is not what it is mainly about. I mean I got chills from watching some parts because of how they had the other dancers in the video behave in such a "sexy" way, it's uncomfortable. It's sad b/c Loren is not much older than me and is still new to the music industry so I don't think she fully realizes how the industry is portraying her. I understand some of the dances to be mature but the industry makes it look like Loren is trying extra hard to have ppl focus on her body in a not-so positive way. Honestly, whoever is in charge of her music videos puts her in a bad light because they make her look and behave waay older. You can tell that a lot of the dancing in this video is not something that she would do. Her songs are great, especially for someone who writes their own music and never danced professionally, she has come a long way. The only problem is how Loren is being portrayed by the music industry in her videos.

I'll give it to her that it's catchy and definitely has a good beat, but but idk it doesn't have a unique sound, or any phenomenal vocals...its mainstream...its like she was trying to break boundaries but all she really did was intrench herself in them. A song doesn't have to revolve around sex to be deeper or more mature or groundbreaking. There are so many more themes to explore in music, it doesn't have to revolve around sex, especially pertaining to the male gaze.
