really enjoying your vlogs Mari. especially like the part where you show the map and where you’ve hiked that day along the trail. safe trekking! cheers
you all prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Jabari Edgar Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Hello Mari, thank you for sharing another fine video. Keep up those good spirits. Your videos are really capturing the true spirit of the PCT. The very best to you and Nick for a continued safe journey. 🤗
Loving your PCT videos. You guys are doing fantastic, and the places you are going to look incredible. When the going gets tough I hope you remember how lucky you are to experience such an adventure, and that encourages you to keep pushing on.....wet feet and all. Thanks for sharing.
Another awesome video Mari. Y'all are doing great. I'm following you on Instagram to. It's seems to be going fast, probably not to y'all. I think y'all are going at a good pace. Good luck in the Sierras and be safe. From what I've seen of other people, now's a good time to be going thru there. Pretty soon the rivers are going to be bad with all the snow melt, so the earlier the better. Again thanks for sharing.
@@mari.johnson Oh, I think I would eat it anytime ;-) By the way, 2 days ago I was searching for videos about the norwegian island Senja I visited last year. And I found one from Ryan Wilkes! And when I scrolled through his video list I found one where he made an interview with you last year in New Zealand. Total coincedence. Un-be-lie-vable! The world is so small ;-) Happy hiking
Hey you guys, it’s really good to see more of your adventures on the PCT. I would guess that you’re just about to head into the Sierras by now. Hope that all of your gear... and feet - are holding up well. BTW, you can use those small hand warmer packets - placed in your shoes at night - to help dry them out by morning. Enjoying the uploads 👊😎...
I great tip for river crossings is to take your socks off. Then if there's water in your shoes (there wont be with Altra Lone Peaks) pour it out and then put you socks back on and you wont get prune feet. The shoes dont hold water but your socks do.
Great job guys. Now I understand why people talk about keeping the base weight down so much, it must be so you can load up on food & water before you leave each town LOL. Loving seeing the trail thru your eyes including the beautiful flowers. Maybe one day you could write a book of your hike that includes a special chapter to showcase them. Really enjoying following along with you both, wishing you both good weather & also that you stay injury free. Cheers. 🙂🙂🙂
So enjoying these videos. Love seeing all the flowers. I think it's incredible all the support for hikers on the trail. How long is the whole trip expected to take you?
I’ve started to watch ur videos south to north this time. Very different then the other guy I watched hurl goat. But ur series is really well done I’m excited to follow u to the end.
Do you have to pack like athletes foot cream? I can’t imagine being in wet socks for 2 days! So many questions and still so excited when it’s video day!!!! 🥰😘
Haven’t had to use any cream like that yet fortunately! Keeping extra dry socks is the best so far. But it’s hard when the shoes are still wet. Let me know what other questions you have! ❤️❤️❤️
What did you do to keep your feet from freezing in wet snow? I only ask it on this video because it showed up searching RUclips for "dealing with wet "snow" on the PCT" and I recognized your channel. I got mild frostbite above Idyllwild this year in slush so I'm juggling ideas for next year . . . Edit . . . You answered it in your video "All the Gear I Used for My Hands and Feet"
Hi Mari! My wife and have been subscribers since the announcement of your plans to thru-hike the PCT and are currently enjoying your vlogs from the trail. One quick question if you don't mind: the animated map that you use to show your hiking progress is really cool. How are you creating it? Thanks, and good luck with the rest of your hike. Maybe we'll see you at PCT days!
Hi I have a funny question - why do you cross creek wearing your socks? Doesn't that feel bad rest of the day? I thought people would maybe bring some water shoes?
Omg, I miss real cheese! It's probably my biggest complaint about SE Asia. Even the processed cheese is really bad! Going to have to get someone from WI to send me some. Really enjoying the vlogs! Cheers!
@@mari.johnson Omg yes. 7-year aged cheddar, super squeaky, super stringy, string cheese and chocolate cheese from Jim's Cheese Pantry in Waterloo, WI are the best I've ever had. Every time I went to WI to visit family by driving, I brought a cooler and loaded up on all kinds of cheese. lol
so fun to watch you guys! is that joshua tree at the end? we're new youtubers looking for feedback, anything is appreciated! we subbed u guys so we can get updates.
another great watch.. on the subject of river crossing not sure where you are IRL but due to the high snow fall in the sierras skurka has written an article about dangerous crossings alternatives and general advice www.andrewskurka.com/creek-hazards ATB and stay safe
I could definitely feel the great vibes of the trail magic through the screen - what a lovely gathering!
That was the best trail magic yet! We were all huddling under the canopy while it was hailing!
really enjoying your vlogs Mari. especially like the part where you show the map and where you’ve hiked that day along the trail.
safe trekking! cheers
Cheers Greg!

@Jabari Edgar It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my account!
Rice, beans, and cheese - can't go wrong with that meal on the trails! You guys look like you're having so much fun out there!

You pick the best music!! You've inspired me to hike more and include the PCT on my 5-year to-do list!! Good luck and happy trails.
Ooh that’s exciting!
Keeping it strong Mari...good stuff💪🏽 and what an animal Nick is lapping it all up🐐
Love that strawberry? cream thing 👍😜🍓

Nothing feels better than a freshly washed cooter
I really like your blogs, too. You capture the days hike so well.
You guys are making it up the trail. "Keep On Truckin"
Thanks for sharing your adventures
Thanks for coming along 😊
Looks like you are in good spirits and having fun. Must be nice knowing you can take a little break in town and re-supply Best wishes to you and Nick!
Yeah town days are really nice! Thanks Ko Ko!
You guys by far look to be really enjoying yourselves much more than the other hikers, except maybe IBTat. Thanks for sharing!!
Nice video! Thanks for sharing!
Hello y'all from Texas!! Trail food doesn't make it but that huge pancake was where its at! God Bless!
I love watching your pct videos! So inspiring!
What a breathtaking view and what an experience!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Big Bear is a great stop over. "Keep Up the Good Walk"

Y’all keep rocking it! Love the mix!
So happy to see you both in such good spirit , that breakfast looked so delicious , as they say in Korea for encouragement , " Fighting " !!!
Great job! Yeah, Nick in the background, this room's a mess!
Always amazing how everything packs up tho.
So enjoying these videos. Love seeing all the flowers. I think it's incredible all the support for hikers on the trail. How long is the whole trip expected to take you?
Yeah it’s so amazing what people do for hikers out here! The whole trail will probably take us 5-6 months!

The first appearance of Bart and Party Tart in Mari's PCT vlogs
Awesome videos, really enjoying them. Tfs
Another great vlog. Thanks
Those desert colors 😍
Great video!! Thank You
Nice ending on a Joshua tree (in bloom?) with the desert and juniper in the background.
Great video!
Love the vlogs! Can you please share more details about your neon yellow jacket. Love the color! Thanks
LOVING THESE VLOGS😍😍
Congratulations on 250miles!
Thank you!!
OMG I've never seen such a cool room! Must have been so nice to stay there for a break!
Do you think you will do a Q&A sometime?
What sign are you lol? You two are so inspiring! Another great update. I can't imagine its easy to not only hike the trail but film and edit too.
I’m a cancer 🦀 glad you’re liking the videos!

Rock and Roll.....Be Safe
Mari at the end of this epic adventure are you returning to your new home land Aotearoa 🏕⛰ land of the long white cloud ( New Zealand )
Hi I have a funny question - why do you cross creek wearing your socks? Doesn't that feel bad rest of the day? I thought people would maybe bring some water shoes?
Hi Mari, are you still on the trail? If you are, I'm assuming you're uploading your vlogs when you get into town.
Yep! In town about once a week, which is when I upload 😊
On Day 21 at 5:09 was that Arrastre Trail Camp?
Watching the inactive map, I'm of the firm belief that the first trail blazer of the PCT kept one of their hands occupied by holding a beer.
Love the music, what are the songs?
What's the name of the hotel you stayed at in Big Bear? With the hot tub???
It was an airbnb I'm pretty sure!
Omg, I miss real cheese! It's probably my biggest complaint about SE Asia. Even the processed cheese is really bad! Going to have to get someone from WI to send me some. Really enjoying the vlogs! Cheers!

It is! California, Oregon, and Washington 😊

Submerse your mat in water like a bicycle inner tube to find the hole.
I tried that twice! No signs of holes..
Where’s Reese Witherspoon I was told she’d be in this
😂
How did you keep phone charge
Does anyone know what song this is? Thanks!
So are you used go pro?

Shouldn't you be crossing the river barefeet? I always take my shoes off and cross it barefeet and dry my feet and put 'em back on.
Great video...but please, no music!!!
