I'm thinking of picking one of these up. How would this be for making really chaotic stuff? Like obviously you can go unquantized, but does it constrain you to any sort of count or anything like that? I'd like to make some noise with it.

Ive had one for about a year or so now and I'd definitely say you can make some noise with this thing. It has some limitations but that just adds to more creativity

One question can you explain what those 2 cords connect to i know the left cord is plugged into your PC. I am thinking of maybe getting one, but just curious

Sure! Left side is audio in, so anything you want to sample into the device. Right side is audio out, to your headphones or audio recorder.
