@@elenareadsbooks88 definitely, a walk by the sea has been a lifesaver for lockdown! Tbh, the only bookshop I loved was Westbourne Books near Bournemouth. There’s a lot of nice Waterstones dotted about too. I move to Southampton in the spring & have already googled bookshops 😂 (it’s important!)

I always loved your videos because you had the widest range of books that you liked that I could get into - not just one genre, etc. Not to "literary" etc...but I completely understand you wanting to wind back your video making, life does this to us now and again and you need some time out. I would love to chat to you in the comments if you are low on conversation - I can't relate too much to the lockdown - I'm in Australia and we are not too badly off here although I did have to do a two week quarantine due to an active case near my work (we were all fine) It is lucky I am a reader and a homebody because it was easy to stay occupied but it totally messes with your head and I found I was quite anxious the whole time which was unpleasant. Nothing compared to what you are all going through in the UK and my thoughts are with you all everyday. xxx

I really love reading a variety and find like a lot of other things in life like food and games and activities I get hooked on one genre for a while then move on to something else for a bit. My new furniture for my book room arrives today so I’m excited to start using it for cost reading in the evenings and when I get the fireplace tested hopefully I can have some lovely fires while I read 😊

Very happy to see you back Elena! I saw on ig about you moving and figured you'd been super busy, but how exciting! I'm planning on moving to a different city in a couple of months (somewhere smaller and closer to family) and it really is much more of a struggle to plan in the middle of a pandemic. Glad to see everything went well for you and you're settled now. Not to mention Ron is the cutest!!! I've only watched the US version of The Masked Singer but it is a lot of fun! I tend to be bad at commenting because I often find that I don't have anything interesting to say and tend to think people won't be interested anyway, but I'm trying to change that mindset and do better because I know I like it when people interact with me!
Good luck with your move I can definitely sympathise with how much more tricky it is at the moment. Being back in a full lockdown now is hard as we have been doing this for nearly a year now and I just hope the vaccine role out makes a big difference because i feel so bad for my daughter missing out on so much schooling. @@elenareadsbooks88 We're not back in full lockdown here yet, but our government is considering it because cases keep rising, so maybe that'll happen next week. It's really frustrating to see how many people don't wear masks and completely ignore social distance. Both my mom and I are high risk so we're doing everything we can to stay in as much as possible and completely avoid social activities. I'm lucky that I'm able to work from home at least, but it is making the move very difficult since I can't even go see the house or anything. Hopefully lockdown will help lower cases there!
I know what you mean I’m on the critically vulnerable list and it frustrates me that people can’t wear masks or even keep their distance with the puppy so many people come over and even pick him up without asking and pay no heed to distancing which now means that I’m nervous to take him for walks anywhere there may be any people. Yay a new video! I was just thinking of you the other day and wondering how you had been getting on with all the new and exciting things in your life. I am trying to be better about commenting on the videos I enjoy watching, I got into a terrible habit particularly during 2020 of just almost mindlessly watching videos and not thinking about interacting with you and other lovely creators. I have to admit towards the end of last year i had the same thing where i was watching a lot and not commenting and I think one of the the things i want to do this year is streamline my watching to those people i really want to hear from and then i can engage better with their content. Ron is definitely cute but is going through a chewing phase which is cause in my slippers to be not so happy! We started homeschool today and her new school have been amazing at getting her all set up and doing video calls and lessons so I’m super pleased with that. The chocolate and wine were defiantly so lovely and really meant that we got chatting over the back wall with our direct neighbours I’m so pleased. :)

I try and do that every so often, although youtube has become a kind of crutch the last few months because it's comforting to have videos on when I'm spending so much time alone! I guess I will just have to get busy with the comments (no bad thing at all). Hope the chewing phase passes soon, or at least Ron finds a pair of slippers he likes to chew while you wear new ones! :)
I'm so glad you're happy at the new place! Your reading room looks so nice 😊 Ron is absolutely precious. Bridgerton is a lot of fun! I devoured the whole series in one day. I think I liked the first half of the series better than the second, but overall I really enjoyed it. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the future seasons since each book looked at a different Bridgerton sibling finding love.
Thank you I’m finally starting to feel more settled and then book room furniture comes this week so I’m looking forward to making it cost place to sit in the evenings. I have a few episodes left of Bridgerton but really loving it. I love the costumes too they are so bright and vibrant especially the featheringtons.
Welcome back! I'm one of the guilty ones who lurks and never comments, but I'm breaking my silence now. ☺️ I can totally relate to moving during the pandemic! I'm in the US, and my husband got a new job in July/August, so we had to navigate that. Definitely added a new layer of challenge to the cross-country move!
Wow that’s really brave moving across country how did you get on? I hope you are all settled now. I think in a strange way it kept my mind active and so fave me less time to worry about things. Going back to home schooling my daughter has been hardest as it’s one thing to teach other peoples children but to do your own is very frustrating 😂
@@elenareadsbooks88 It went really well! I think we felt a little safer doing it because we actually caught COVID a few months before. It was in our area fairly early, so we caught it right before our state shut down. We're settled in our house, but it's definitely weird not to be able to get to know people in the community! Oh, I bet it's very different teaching your own kids versus someone else's! Is the vaccine starting to be distributed where you are?

Matilda is ok thanks she seemed to turn a corner in September when she went to school and was much more confident about going which was lovely and she is nervous about her new school but more anticipation of unknown I think than anxiety like before. I left me job but hope to get a new position down here eventually. X
