This moveset was, no is, unbelievably gratifying. The way this seemingly came outta nowhere made it all the more a blast! Not only is it so rad to see the hammy sorcerer represented in Lawl real proper, but it was also joyous to see the rest of the cast + new chars back and better than ever. Highlights being Jafar's deliciously malicious new idle, The stellar stage for MJ, the idles for Sonya & Yasuna, those sleek char huds, and oh who am I kidding, everything was a highlight! : D Okay, now the moveset itself is sheer brilliance. A lot of moves that could've been simple in nature were given so much depth yet viability. Like, the idea of a projectile that can reflect is crazy cool enough, but add in it can transport Ganon & his minions is such a perfect example of specials working together. There's also the teleport, which alone was fitting considering Cartoon Ganon reeeeeally likes to do that, but with the additional float and double port, it's a move that looks real fun to trick people with. The Magnet (also holy shit that hand moving animation was so smooth : O) and henchmen helpers are great ideas also that compliment Cartoon Ganon's wicked villainy, with Evil Jar serving as a simply sinister finish. In fact, if maybe a few things were tweaked, this set could rep the retro version of Ganon in general amazingly (in fact, I think that's kinda what's so appealing about CTG). From the the awesome animation and editing, to the perfectly goofy yet slimy taunts and victories (2nd being a big mood throughout this video), this has made yet another excellent addition to Lawl Mad, a classic much like the original games the cartoon's based on. I sincerely want to thank you for not only covering this character who's deserved a set for so long, but for making him out to be a fighter I'd want to play and main so badly. This'll def go down as a highlight of 2018, for the talent, passion, and character put into it.
I was so excited for this. This character has had such a bad track of being in cancelled Lawls and losing on Empty Slots that finally seeing him in action feels like... well, Ganon being able to take over the world. The character was not only perfect for MAD (and so are the mysterious silhouettes Aaaaaaaa), but also the moveset was awesome! I really liked how much stage control he has, like the dungeon master that he is. He can summon his minions (each one feeling very unique), create mirrors to go through alongside his minions and even use magnets to pull and push stuff around, which is nice because magnets are not usually seen in movesets. My favourite move is of course the Up Special. Being an Unique teleport move is already a feat, but I always love recoveries that can be done twice in a row, and I appreciate more floaty characters in Lawl. That's not without going into detail about other elements like the reworked stages/victories, the amount of normals shown (Jafar's get a shout-out because they were amazing, specially the hourglass one) and the fact that, despite not being next as promised, Sonya and Yasuna are still there. My only nitpick is that the music during the moveset was very short and got repetitive very fast, which is what could be expected from an early NES track. But if the music is the only bad thing I can think of when watching a moveset, you know you did great!
Woah, I wasn't expecting this character in a long time, it's one of my top requested and completely paid off! Also, those regular attacks for Jafar are brilliant.
Damn, what a great moveset. Everything looks amazing, from the moveset itself, to the new huds, idles and stages, and I love the new Gay Luigi’s side smash. Talking about regular attacks, Jafar’s moves look really satisfying to use. Looking forward to the mext character, and also to that silhouette
Well goddamn this was a nice surprise! First of all i love what has been done to Mormon Jesus's stage, everything about it was nice. As for the moveset it felt very great, and moveset told me what his playstyle basically was, he is trying to keep the opponents at a safe distance from himself. I didn't even mind the Up Special being teleport because you did give it an unique way to work and all that, and Cartoon Ganon just cant not have his teleport. Only problem i had was that the Side Special activation has a bit too much of a startup lag, unless that's intentional. What else did i like, oh yeah, Jafar's normals looked amazing.
AAAA I loved this moveset so much! This was a great surprise reveal, Cartoon Ganon has some neat little tricks up his sleeve, the addition of the mirror makes the baddies somewhat less useful nature actually pretty handy, that rushing Moblin and the Stalfos Bombs seem pretty handy. The recovery name, heh, that was a neat little touch. I especially liked seeing all the new animations, Jafar and his grabs look so well done, and that smack with his staff, oh my gosh that was SMOOTH Fantastic job, the only problems I can really see are some when Mormon Jesus has his top half of his body a different shade entirely from the rest of his body, although that's an easy fix. Plus there was that small HUD error at 3:17 but it doesn't detract from the moveset itself, so it's all good. Very well done, Peez!
Lawl MAD is back in Action!, what a wonderful suprise that looks so good for this, totally wait to looking foward for Yasuna Oribe and Sonya Chan too!.
Okay holy fucking shit I didn't expect this but got dam I loved it So while bringing a highly requested Lawl character out of its limbo, you managed to give him a damn fine moveset. You managed to represent this Ganon's elements without feeling like a copy of other Ganon movesets. And each move had such unique properties to them, too! It's quite nice to see a character like this with such a variety of fun moves. My favorite move tho? The Up B. Despite it being a teleport move, it's very tricky with *how* you can use it, and you made what could've been a very generic move into a great movement option that's unique. Plus, giving this Ganon a hover is so good too, we need more Lawl characters that can float. Also might I say *the god damn animation.* Honestly in previous Lawl MAD movesets, you can notice some errors in animation and incorrect cropping and such. Here? Literally nothing to even nitpick on, it's all so god damn clean and I can tell you've really kicked the motor for Lawl MAD into overdrive. Do I even need to say anything about Jafar's moves???? They're so god damn smooth! And that grab tho, so good and smooth. Overall I'm glad to see Lawl MAD back once more, and even better than it was before with Jafar!! This is easily my new favorite moveset from you, keep up that good ass work. I can't wait to see who's next!!
Wow it’s been a while since we’ve seen a set from you. Gotta say, this was unexpected to see this guy join, and this was totally worth the wait! Looking forward to whatever you got planned for MAD next :)
The step up in the presentation is fantastic! Lawl MAD’s new look makes it feel more modern, along with the new idles and stage revamps. Not to mention, this set was great! The animations were very smooth and all of the moves are balanced and function well. The victory poses were my favourite part, as it’s unique of you to model the results screen after Ultimate now. Looking forward to the future of this Lawl!
This was pretty dang good! The reliance on minions and stage control was a good choice of playstyle and the evil jar final smash was perfect for him, if a bit broken. Jafar's animations were hella flashy and did I see an ANIME DEDEDE SILHOUETTE? Great to see you improving.
This has become my favorite Lawl MAD moveset for all the ways this represented the Legend of Zelda cartoon show, and the best character in it (Ganon). I like the variety of Ganon's minions in his Neutral B, as well as the mirror Side B which not only acts as a teleport but also as a trap for opponents who try to go through it. The animation on the Up B was flawless, plus the mechanics of having two teleportations per usage was cool. The FS was one I least expected, but what I do like is that Ganon has an advantage of the Evil Jar once he uses it but not all opponents can go down easily from it. I was most impressed by Jafar's regular attacks, Ganon's taunts (and the stage that accompanies it), and the victories. The victories looked exactly like the new game's versions, and I really liked the style of the winner text, plus the first victory itself. Still, I really enjoyed this moveset and look forward to all the great things in Lawl MAD coming soon!
I was wondering if someone were doing Cartoon Ganon. And whaddaya know, you done it. Also, I dig Gay Luigi's side smash as I was hoping you were going to use something from Gloin1994's fight thing. Although I do advise working a bit more on the transparent player HUD effect.
After seeing another certain Nintendo Villain; as well as Jafar and Bison; I have to wonder if having a more villain based roster is your goal? If it is; that would certainly make your roster stand out from the rest! It's good to be bad after all. I really liked the animations on this one! And of course; I loved that the EVIL JAR was there.
Although I'm disappointed Yasuna & Sonya's moveset got delayed, this moveset sure made up for it. This may be the funniest version of Ganon I've ever known. And I know the CDI version too! Also, while I do love you updating the HUDs to he Utimate version, I'm not really a fan of the new results screen. I'd prefer seeing the loser's name being shown too.
Man you are full of surprises! Despite his minions, I actually found either his mirror or the teleporting the most interesting part of the moveset and that's some record for teleporting moves. And Mormon Jesus Christ, Jafar's normals are perfect. P.S. saw you Toon Dedede :) but where's dat other silhouette?
This was a rly good moveset everything from the animation to the moveset it was very nice. My only critique is that some of your cropping for the characters (mostly Gay Luigi and Mormon Jesus) need to be improved. There lot’s of 1080p versions of Hotel Mario cutscenes so you easily use those. Also love the updated idle animations very smooth and good. -well except for Luigi but hey that’s just small potatoes-
arlight, now yasuna and sonya is next. yasuna and sonya's moveset cameo is, comrade black (she's not done yet for melted sherbert) sega hard girls jyushimatsu right Peez-Dah?
