Hi there, very interesting and possibly useful. I founded an online station back in 2009 playing 70's, 80's Jazz, Funk, Soul, Disco, Reggae/Lovers Rock, rare Groove. Ive become aware that one can have a Live Stream on RUclips. I see many Live Streams for Jazz Music, Hip Hop and so on. I have not been able to find any information on how to put our station on RUclips Live Channel. Either to connect our streaming link to it or to actually clone our station by uploading all our various presenters shows. We are 27/7 365. Can mixlr be used to achieve this ? Or is there another method ? Our station is accessible on all Android Devices, Smart TV;s PC/Laptop etc etc. Also on TuneIn Radio with 3,500 followers. Despite all that, exposure is still limited and there's so many people out there that would love to have access to our genre of music 24/7 but are unaware of our station. (I see comments over and over on various videos wishing there was a station that played the music we do). So I’m confused, do you need to apply for a broadcasting license to play music? I’m in the uk .... it says it’s illegal to broadcast music without a license .... or if I get a Spotify and RUclips account .... is that considered as paying for broadcasting rights ??

Unfortunately this is not longer free 2017 they stop the one our free ,.... If you want an alternative take a look at radiometry , you need an shoutcast encoder and radio software like radiodj is great and free option for 24/7 radio streaming

Patricia Barboza fine the stations schedule online through their website. Then find out if said station has a local music night. Two of the rock stations here have them on Thursday nights. E-mail the radio personality that you are a local musician and interested in your music being played on the show. Leave contact info and MP3 file within the email. Might be easier to find their social media account also. Either is fine. Start small and pick the absolute best you got. If good enough it may go on rotation on that day regularly. Then profit.
It worked then I went back and it started having this pop up saying my fairewall settings aren’t correct but I haven’t changed anything, any idea what’s going on ? Lol
hmm, you may need to make an exception to allow Mixlr to pass through the firewall. You on Windows or Mac? If your having trouble maybe ping them an email: support.mixlr.com/customer/portal/emails/new
They charge now at mixlr..and its very steep..my station just got bootted off for now reason other then needing to pay .been useing the service for nearly 3 years..bye bye... The highest rate ive ever seem ...it gor to rubbish now.. over night..sodd off mixlr..

It is a Radio show broadcast over the internet! Called Internet Radio. There are strict rules on broadcasting on FM frequencies in some countries, you will have to check your local laws. I believe a broadcasting licence maybe required for that. Immediately the waves being transmitted are detected, you may be stopped.

If you're not sending a signal out "over the air", you're not "broadcasting".
Never use a built-in mic they are terrible sounding and will pickup background noise.
