- Iya Ni Wura Iye'biye, mothers are gold of invaluable measures
Ti a ko le f'owo ra , that we can not purchase with money.

O pon mi fun odun meta, she backed me for three years.
Iya Ni Wura Iye'biye, ti a ko le f'owo ra , a mother is gold that we can not purchase with money.
OMO TO MO IYA RE LOJU O. Osi yio ta omo na pa
A child who look at his /her mother with disgust shall suffer poverty.
Iya to j'iya po tori e
The mother who suffered a lot because of you.
Iya l'olu gbowo mi to toju mi ni kekere
Mother held me, and looked after me since infant.
Eyin re lo fi pon mi, she mounted me on her backed .
Iya ku ise o, well done mama!

Pelu teriba mole with a low bow.

Immense gratitude for this memorable nostalgic primary-school morning assembly-line recitals.... "for Yoruba`s in diaspora who for some reasons refuses to bring up here kids as "Nigerian" - but choose to embrace the - "American, British, or host country`s ways and culture"..... it`s simply tragic.
Negating your identity is negating your very own family, history, most importantly your background and whom you are and where you`re from - Your Identity, Your DNA.
well of course, you`ll never be anybody in another man`s backyard or culture, except yours - Period !
Dear Babatunde ,
Thank you for your comment. we seem to be losing the beautiful culture, and sweet language. Many of our kids even in Nigeria can not speak Yoruba language, how would it be in the next twenty years, lost? k'ama ri.
