Is there still a digital collector’s edition for this game? I remember reading an article about it but I can’t seem to find an actual listing for it anywhere
Your review is great. Other reviews complain a lot about the difficulty but I see there's a "very easy" option lol. It reminded me of Valkyrie Profile at first glance and Artisan Studios developed another rpg I love, Super Neptunia RPG. So I look forward to playing this on PS5 🙂
Excellent review, I appreciate that you covered all the main points so quickly. I'm debating about getting it because of your comment about the lack of a quest system/ tracker. That has ruined many RPG's for me, because with my schedule, I'll not get back to a game for days or weeks. I hate wandering around trying to remember and figure out what to do next. This does look like an amazing game, though!
It does have a ‘current quest’ thing you can bring up pressing R3 on your controller, and I believe the quests are broken down further in the menu, but what bugged me most was working out the direction I was supposed to be going in. But then again, why should we be shown the way so clearly? Thank you for your comment!
@@HbombEditor Thanks for clarifying, I appreciate it. I do agree that some games hold our hands too much and we shouldn't always have to be shown exactly what to do next, but if it means hours of aimless wandering, I'm less likely to stick with the game.
I guess that depends on if you feel most jrpg’s are or not. It has job classes which you can choose to ignore or play around with, as well as game settings to make your experience harder/easier
If I could complain about one thing so far is the english voice acting. Its just a mix bag with more bad than good. I'm glad it has the original Japanese voice acting too unless that's just as bad. And yeah, lack of turn order sorta sucks but I can live without it. Now lack of quest indicator can be a bit of a problem.
@@beastly_zero2966 No. I judged that by watching a 2.3 hour long video that has been posted a day ago by the channel name of Psycho Not Gaming. Actually. Literally the first video gameplay posted on RUclips to boot. Way before the review ones.
@@thatanonwholurksmoar7386 I bought the game, and except from the delay-dialogues to another bug on the Switch, the english dub is more than ok, for example Eko has a really nice dub, Ulan too, and the other ones the same, just the old mage has a low dub, 2 hours in and i wait the patches or decide to play on ps4, but about the english voice, is more than ok, so as always, people judge by personal tastes, no fact.
@@beastly_zero2966 yeah I'm way pass the dub problem. The switch version among other version have a plethora of bugs and glitches. That has me worried now. Since day one people have been reporting issues on their discord and it's a long list
@@thatanonwholurksmoar7386 yea I'm on discord too and i spoke about the tiny fonts and optimization, if they doesn't fix the issue and I can't play with my OLED switch at 8 October, I think I change the platform
I refund this game because i hate key binding in this game , and the worst of this game is i can't set Key Config... what are they thinking , all this game can setting this
Yeah it’s a weird one where it’s made for controller and they haven’t implemented it for keyboard, yet has a pc release. Hopefully it’s something they’re working on? But I wouldn’t hold my breath

The crystal freeze mechanic is much less elaborated than Valkyrie Profile's but its a good game
