Just received an offer as an M&A Analyst from an MM IB. After considering the terrible hours in this field, I gave up it and went for another position as a credit analyst at a BB. Hope that I did not make the wrong choice.

I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2024, we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $350k of my savings in stocks against next year. Hope to make millions in 2024
Yes true, I have been in touch with a brokerage Advisor. With an initial starting reserve of $80k, my advisor chooses the entry and exit commands for my portfolio, which has grown to approximately $550k.
NICOLE ANASTASIA PLUMLEE is her name. She is regarded as a genius in her area and works for Empower Financial Services. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Investment banking refers to a financial sector that facilitates the creation of capital for companies, governments, and other entities. This involves services like underwriting, mergers and acquisitions, securities trading, and offering financial advice. Investment banks help organizations raise funds through issuing stocks or bonds and also provide strategic guidance for corporate activities.
I completely agree, and that's why I highly value entrusting an investment coach with decision-making authority. Their extensive knowledge and focused training allow them to adeptly manage risk by leveraging its potential for greater returns while also implementing safeguards against adverse outcomes. It's virtually improbable for them to deliver subpar results. Personally, I've achieved a remarkable gain of over 1.5 million dollars during my two-plus years of collaboration with an investment coach.
We fail to realize that banks are commercial enterprises that are driven by greed as well. The over-leveraging of assets by banks starting in 2020 was one of the factors that led to SVB's collapse. I've never felt secure keeping a large sum of money in a bank. In other words, I invest through my financial advisor, reap the benefits, and then spend the money.
My CFA ’Angela Lynn Schilling’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market|
how would you suggest making a career switch in to investment banking and would you suggest investment banking or fintech? would you get a certificate in fintech or a masters in finance to break into the industry? Thank you in advance and keep up the good work. i know it isn't easy making high quality videos like these.
I’m considering paying for a 1 on 1 zoom call with you. I recently passed my SERIES 65 and want to apply my degrees. Do you think you can help ?
Aren't these compensations really based on NYC firms (where most IB/PE companies are)? I doubt these compensations would be align for IB/PE firms in Texas for example. Correct? or is this pretty universal regardless of location?
pretty standard across most of the US. for example at jpmorgan it didn't matter if you were in SF, LA, or NY, you would get the same compensation. so for elite boutiques / bulge bracket banks / most middle market banks, pay will be similar across offices. but at the smaller regional boutique level, i could see compensation being drastically different depending on location / firm in europe / asia / other countries outside of the US though the compensation is very different

And along with this I also do an internship as an equity dealer with one of the Top brokers in India. I'm kind of speaking from an unknown place here, but I did a quick Googley to see how things are here in Europe, and what I found was that the maximum amount of hours that one can work in a week is 48, and employees are entitled to at least an 11 hour break every 24 hours. That would lead me to a few thoughts/questions: Maybe I'm a little naive here and it does happen in some industries, but the idea of working up to 100 hour weeks would not be allowed in the EU legally, especially combined with having 9 hours at most between finishing and starting. That being said, if IB does indeed happen over here, then deals must be completed in a much longer window, so then why can't the same happen in the U.S? It wouldn't be anything to do with those wonderful, non-exploitative labour laws, would it?
There might be laws but the fact is that analysts also have to work for 70+ hours in Europe. It might be a bit more in the US but they are also earning more. The economy depends on investment bankers and strategy consultants. That's why politics doesn't step in. Hope that clarifies.
i'd actually be surprised if they keep bumping it up because there's been a meaningful increase already. the old $85K base for analysts was the base for i think 3-5 years, so i wouldn't expect another bump for at least another 2-3 years

Could I work in an investment bank at the age of 14? I really have a big passion with business and a lot of education about finance. I even predicted the crash of Bitcoin and the rise of a solar company, but my dad didn't allow me to short sell Bitcoin and to invest in the solar company so I lost the opportunity 😂.

How many less hours would you say investment bankers work if they are in ECM or DCM when compared to M&A?
depends on the week, sometimes they may be equally busy but in general about 10-20 hours less per week
70-100 hours a week... Sounds like a terrible job
Please fix: remove cs from thumbnail, thanks.
