Your Cactus is so beautiful . Another cause of yellow stems such as the ones you cut out of your cactus is from underwatering/ irregular watering. Those stems since deep in the middle just may have not gotten enough water.😊 💚🪴🌱🌿🍃🌵🍀
Perfect timing! I got a small ric rac a few months ago at a plant swap but didn't know anything about it. Put it in my (mostly) cactus garden and it's undoubtedly been getting too much sun and not enough water. Will be repotting and repositioning it today!
Wow, what a lovely plant!! I just bought my first two 4" ric racs today. Hoping to pot them up together and watch them grow in my west-facing window here in SoCal. How old is this one?? I can't get over how big and beautiful he is!
I love this plant but I did not find the right place and maybe the right soil for it ! it is rotting very easily and quickly as soon as I am watering and the branches are not full and thick like this one in the video. Next spring I will repot it and give it a new start !
Hi I'm pretty new to plants and iv had this one for about 2 years, not much growth.. however this year finnally seemed to be doin better untill I looked and a couple of the pieces have brown mushy parts on the sides. So I panicked , and now have taken them out of all the soil they were in (which were pretty wet) so I'm guessing maybe I over watered ???? Anyway, I have them drying out and them goin to repot in a better soil mix. Is my plant going to be ok, or with this rotted mushy stuff continue ???
I think I let my ric rac cactus get to root bound and it's struggling. It is not a deep green any more. Looks anemic. I'm going to propagate from the original plant. How do you suggest I get is bright green back?
The broad leaves of my plant have lots of skinny shoots on them. I have had it a few years. Repotted last spring. It just isn't as pretty as yours. What am I doing wrong? Should I pinch all of these shoots off?
I heard one grower on a RUclips video say that if one part of the leaf is thick, and the other part is thin, it wasn’t getting enough light. I don’t know for sure if that’s true. I’m going to see if there is a blog site for this plant so that I can Lear more about proper care.
By far the best ric-rac care RUclips video I have seen
I just got a large saw tooth and fishbone yesterday. Thanks for the most complete video of a plant I've ever seen.Good job
I just got a mature one yesterday and a young one. I wanted to compare how the one I care for from recent cuttings will do over the years.
Beautiful fish cactus❤❤❤❤

Nice video👌🏽 Do Ric-Rac's mind being root bound? I just stumbled upon a 4" in a supermarket about a month ago. Also are they slow growers? Thanks!
Is that a queen of the night @8:38? I didn’t realize it makes a great hanging plant
Just bought one...how long does it take to get blooms?
It blooms after the 3rd year of growth.
Thank you wonderful video lots of great information!
Awesome and informative video. Thank you.
I personally would have used charcoal to fill the bottom up.
Do u think I can use Cactus soil mixed with regular potting soil? Mine is still a baby.

Wow nice frowers mam
How is the water able to drain out?
Do you sell the cuttings?
You can buy them at a local nursery. Call and ask if they have one.
How long was he on the previous pot?
RUclips favor traduzir para o português Brasil! Obrigado!
I do not think its a light problem Mine lives on the verandah at north qld Australia Lots of light…..and has the same type of new leaves
How come you don’t answer peoples questions? I would sub, but I like interacting with the creator.😮
Give me some shoes for my kids thank you
Ashley. as you raised that ric-rac up to the camera I was stunned such that I emitted several swearwords. Good grief it looks so delighted with life!
