Just curious - some cars have that skidding noise after they throttle down, from what I know this means they have a supercharger instead of a turbo charger?

No, i'm pretty sure it's not gearbox whining
Rear diffs can sometimes whine on acceleration and decelaration.
It's purely when engine revs are decreasing as when braking. None of that sound when accellerating.
Well tell about the cars, which ones does the sound ?
