It is clear cut fault of this young boy driver. It was a blind spot for the truck driver, the area where these boys overtook dangerously will not be visible to the truck driver.
It was completely wrong to turn to right lane to overtake when there is a traffic on the right. It's a common sense and against the rule (if following rules). The insurance will give any claim and the truck driver being not at fault (or the most 5% if you contest the civil case in court) but on the contrary the truck driver will claim against your insurance for damaging his truck due to your rash action. Having of traffic volunteer doesn't help in your argument as he wasn't a traffic cop authorised by traffic police, and even if so, you still have to go by the rule that if even if he/she direct you to move, you still need to give a lookout and then overtake. What if a pedestrian, two wheeler or a cyclist is there in the right lane, will you go and kill them just because you have been directed to move??? Common this is a lame argument..
Anyway, Transport TV or Transport Live will take down this video clip and present it for the truck drivers side.

The Truck was in its lane, you guys were overtaking from the wrong side. You guys are more at fault in this case and they you go on to abuse the poor truck drivers.
I highly doubt whether you will be able to register a case or claim insurance if they saw this video. The truck was on the left lane of the road and its not obviously the helpers fault if you overtake like that.
