It makes plenty of sense as you have to consider the character inside frantically spamming buttons, which would obviously tire you out. It would be really cool if your character’s stamina got used instead of the mek’s as that would make much more sense

It's funny when people complain about ARK having Tek stuff and claim that it is suppose to be just a "Dinosaur Survival Game". No it's not. ARK was made to have the sci-fi future Tek setting from the beginning. If people collected the Explore Notes and actually beat the game, they'd know that.
The story is such: =SPOILERS=
The Earth had gone to shit and these different "ARKs" which are basically the different maps in the game are being used to test human survival and see if they have what it takes to save the Earth from going full corrupted in the Extinction DLC. I mean, even the supply drops are spacey. The supply drops come from a spaceship like structure far above the ARK. That is what ARK is. Most people never actually beat the game to learn the story so a lot of people just assume it is suppose to be just a dino survival game, but they are further from the truth. That's why the game is called Survival Evolved. The whole plot line is to survive one ARK and "evolve" to the next ARK in order to see if you can save the planet from becoming completely destroyed from the corruption that is slowly overrunning it.
That is also why there are other creatures that aren't just "dinosaurs" and why some of the dinosaurs seem different from what they would actually be in real life. It's also why there is all the futuristic Tek stuff. The ARKs are basically simulated "domes" floating in space to test humanity's survival to see if they can save the Earth.

As far as I know the arks were designed to save species and plants from annihilation. And several system fails have brought the arks to be death machines. Extinction is corrupted because element has spread everywhere, mainly through giant tek war. After killing the titans the element problem got solved and the other arks landed on the earth again. But the aberration ark failed and crashed. That's why you hear Rockwell at the end of extinction saying "I'm coming for you". Because of him being freed.

@@jesusvillarreal2369 No they would've only succeeded in dying faster or winning by a slimmer margin. The atomic breath would simply be dealing damage to all of them instead of one or two at a time. Dealing damage from out of it's range is a smart move. Doing what the other two did would blatantly would just lower their chances of winning.

Meks are indeed strong. Actually, except for Titans nothing can defeat mek by 1vs1 technically. The reason why mek lose against other dinos in this vedio or in game is because people use ridiculously low leveled one, not the high quality MEK came from the blueprint. If you are using primitive MEK just directly came from the engram, It's a things like that you are riding a tamed level 1 wild dino. Complete the red or pulple colored OSD to get an ascendant one and you will see how crazily powerful MEK is. For example, level 330 MEK made from an ascendant blueprint has 70k health and can deal over 1500 damage with it's primary sword attack and 1200 with it's rifle. Nothing can defeat MEK with this case.
King titan and forest titan and ice titan can
A pack of high level Velonasaurs with mutations. High level Dimorphodons in a swarm leveled in speed and melee due to their really small hitboxes and high damage output. Compy swarms, again, due to small hitboxes and fairly high damage output in a group.
But really, Dimorphodons are highly underrated. They can shred and out-dps even high level wild gigas in a swarm, and when ordered to attack a mounted enemy dino, they will prioritize the rider first. Their weakness is any dino with large aoe attacks.
