Go for 9th gen if its for productivity. Samsung s6 lite for just note taking. I have used both ipad and samsung s6 lite. 9th gen ipad is just too good. But as I'm a student, the spen that comes along from Samsung is just too good.... I use Samsung more than I pad as I takes notes a lot. Plus you get to expand your memory on Samsung as well. But Samsung is definitely not good for gaming and editing.
