  • I finally tried these snowmobile studded tires off the lake and they were a ton of fun! I was nervous about how they would hold up but they handled a variety of terrain really well! I'm going to really keep an eye on the sharpness of the snowmobile studs if I continue using them off ice to test their longevity.

      Snatch Block I was definitely inspired by old riding videos when I was a kid. I started filming videos in high school until my early 20’s and then picked it back up again when the Hero7 came out in fall of 2018. I’ve always loved listening to quads from a distance and it’s fun to capture that! This video has some great exhaust notes 😊🤘

      Pete Hager well what you’re doing is pretty cool man. Carrying the tradition of great riding videos and becoming part of that Quad history. People really get excited in other videos you feature, so you have a positive impact and probably inspire people to create and ride and be respectful etc...thanks for being cool and thanks for riding the little O in Michigan... that’s where I ride and it was cool to see on RUclips.

  • @dooflicker1
    @dooflicker1 6 лет назад +1

    The way your quad is popping on deceleration is indicating either a lean condition or an exhaust leak. My 700r never popped on deceleration running full aftermarket exhaust with an EFI controller. Are you running an EFI controller with your pipe?

    • @snowboardingraptor7005
      @snowboardingraptor7005 6 лет назад

      I'm sure this chap is running his quad correctly. Most pop all the time anyway. I know atleast 20 lads with quads and they all seem to do the same. Surely we can't all be set up wrong? Or is it because of the cold air. Also sometimes you get a loud bang when riding in cold when coming down from speed fast. Cold air sucking in the pipe. Apart from what you previously wrote. What else could it be?

    • @PeteHager
      @PeteHager  6 лет назад +1

      I have a power commander 5. It was popping worse but I had my dealer re-flash the controller. It pops here and there but it doesn't seem to be an issue. My previous machine was the same

    • @dooflicker1
      @dooflicker1 6 лет назад +1

      It very well could be the mapping for which I should've mentioned. Just in my experience its usually lean or sucking air somewhere in the pipe connections. I have had to replace header gaskets before to get the popping to stop. Either way I noticed in your other vids & after watching this vid decided to mention it. Sure it still can be running like a top just with a pop lol. Sweet bike though & as usual love the vids. 👍👍

    • @bingus3582
      @bingus3582 6 лет назад +2

      Pete Hager
      Yeah the Ktm quads pop on decel from the factory as the exhaust header doesn’t sit completely flush against the engine. My 525 popped on decel up until I changed to an aftermarket exhaust system.

      @OU8Aspark 4 года назад

      @@PeteHager Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Revzilla website and trying to decide whether to get a Snowmobile Helmet or a Dirt Bike Helmet. Some of them have the goggle/face shield built into the helmet and some don't. I suppose that separate goggles are better because you can clean them easily.

    • @PeteHager
      @PeteHager  4 года назад

      @@OU8Aspark hmm if it’s strictly for the winter that’s up to you. Snowmobile helmets are pretty practical and will be warmer, plus their designed not to fog up. • @PeteHager
      @PeteHager  5 лет назад

      I'm assuming you're referring to the license plate? The mounting plate is a factory plate that they started using the last couple model years. I don't think it will directly bolt up to older models. I would go to your local Yamaha dealer and see about fitment since it's an OEM Part. I bought an aftermarket rear grab bar that had the mounting points for the new plate. It's linked in my video description

I know that each town and township can have different ordinances and rules, but is there a general rule where you can ride them on county roads? I saw vids of you riding in ditches, can you still do that or does that depend on where you are? As far as riding on county roads the best thing would be to call your local DMV/Government Center and hopefully they can tell you whats allowed in your area.
